QUOTE(mckevin @ Feb 27 2009, 12:59 AM) Hi all da sifus.. i am 26 years old and i wonder is it too late for me to start playing tennis? I just know some of the basic rules and besides that i dont know much about tennis.. I started playing around 26 also. As time goes by I started to wonder; why on earth I didn't play earlier? It turns out that I fall in love with tennis when I watch the elegant play style of RF. Added on February 27, 2009, 11:18 amGrinner, mbmb stands for what? Although my kampung is in Jasin, I rarely go to Bandar Melaka, so I'm not familiar with places. It certainly help if you can provide google map for the location hehe. I'm currently struggling when playing with someone with heavy topspin especially when the ball lands between service line and baseline. Any tips on hitting ball on the rise? Or it's better to step some distance from the baseline and wait the ball fall down a little?

QUOTE(tchiaming @ Apr 22 2009, 10:53 AM) Just a question here, RF strings his racquet at 46 lb (natural gut). how the hell does he hit with 46lb??? even if my string drops to around 50lb, i noticed that most of my balls will definitely be long. he really top spin that much? i would guess that rafa topspins even more due to his super western style. (RF is using between eastern and semi western) so, for ppl like tsonga... who is a flat hitter most of the time, has to string at high tension? someone pls enlighten me. R U sure RF string his racquet at 46lb? Where you get the info? btw, here's how RF strike his shot (his topspin second only to Nadal's in rotation/ second) http://www.tennis.com/yourgame/instruction...d.aspx?id=85482

QUOTE(~Battousai~ @ Apr 22 2009, 05:32 PM) His stringer nate ferguson revealed it during an interview on tennis channel... search for it should be at youtube where included tensions revealed safins, monflis, fish, racquet i was surprised to with his low tension but his fast racquet head speed enables the spin through i believe Added on April 22, 2009, 6:08 pmahh its a interview with TW IC. That explain why such small racquet head (result in dense string pattern) could generate so much spin. If I'm not mistaken, lower string tension allow longer time (altho it's in miliseconds) of the ball on the stringbed vs higher tension. Technique + fast racquet head speed + string material + lower tension enables RF generate high spin (top and under). I wonder could RF generate as much spin as Nadal if he use racquet with bigger headsize.
