I'm currently struggling when playing with someone with heavy topspin especially when the ball lands between service line and baseline. Any tips on hitting ball on the rise? Or it's better to step some distance from the baseline and wait the ball fall down a little?

Added on April 22, 2009, 6:08 pmahh its a interview with TW IC. That explain why such small racquet head (result in dense string pattern) could generate so much spin. If I'm not mistaken, lower string tension allow longer time (altho it's in miliseconds) of the ball on the stringbed vs higher tension. Technique + fast racquet head speed + string material + lower tension enables RF generate high spin (top and under). I wonder could RF generate as much spin as Nadal if he use racquet with bigger headsize. |
