hey all..my strings snapped while attempting a monster 2H backhand recently.(bwahahaha..it went like "pinnnggggg")
used prince hybrid, poly+syn gut. i guess the poly loses tension quicker than the syn gut, so the syn gut takes all the stress fr the ball (correct?) and snaps 1st. im considering to restring with full poly or full syn gut next. i know that multifilament syn gut are known for soft feel, but can it hold the same tension for longer time than poly? which is better at retaining original string tension? and what are poly strings known for? is it durability, feel? or spin? QUOTE(jacklsw86 @ May 18 2009, 01:35 AM) currently using dunlop max comfort string. it's very good at absorbing shock during the impact from the contact. since using this string, i don't get the muscle sore feeling that often already damn straight.just changed to max comfort 16 at 58 lbs.sweet feel, not hard on the arm at all. slightly less spin, but its a good bargain for the feel and easiness on the arm.sounds beautiful too. don't know about tension maintain and durability yet, but satisfied with it so far. Jacklsw86, hows the tension maintained on this string? does it break fast? |
