Tuesday morning and we here at Mirror.co.uk's Showbiz Towers are laughing up our sleeves at the latest celebrity spat to evolve before our very eyes on Twitter.

Yes, it seems that not only is every celebrity worth their salt signing up to the microblogging site, but they're starting slanging matches already.

Not content with being involved in a recent Twitter contretemps with The Streets frontman Mike Skinner, our current favourite popstar Lily Allen has now got into a row with fellow Tweeter Perez Hilton.

Cyber goss columnist Perez began by saying he wanted to be in Lily's latest video through a series of pleading Tweets and asking his followers to message Ms Allen to persuade her to cast him.

However, Lils was soon on message. Here's the rest of their exchange:

Lily: oh, I'm sorry, we've already cast the jealous and bitter lonely old queen role. Next time eh?

Perez: Jealous of who? David Beckham, maybe. And if I wanted to be a f***** up Brit, I'd rather be Amy Winehouse – whose got talent.

Lily: god, you're like so obsessed with me its embarassing.

Perez: Hilton: Congrats on your album doing well in America, though. It's REALLY HARD to sell copies when u discount it to $3.99. Desperate!

Lily: its also number one everywhere else in the world douchebag. Go away you little parasite.

Perez: Aw, u can see I've lost weight! I am a littler Perez. But I'm still a big fat c*** – just like U! That's why I lova ya. xoxo

Perez: P S Thanks for advertising on my website. I'll take your money (or the label's) anytime!

Lily: I know you will, and that's what makes you a cheap ass whore. Now leave me alone, stop following me, I'm working. Bye x x

Perez: It's not fair and I think you're really mean! You're supposed to care! It's not fair and it's really not ok.

However, Lily had the last word by finishing the tiff in spectacular style - she banned Perez from her Twitter feed. Fantastic behaviour and the reason we love Lily so much, losing her rag for all to see online and not giving a monkeys what anyone thinks. Just like a normal person.
