Kuala Terengganu 3 Februari 2009 Persatuan Pengusaha Rumah Burung Walet Melayu Terengganu. telah dilancar disebuah hotel di Kuala Terengganu. Sambuntan daripada pengusaha dan peminat sungguh menggalakkan. Lebih daripada 100 orang telah menghadirinya. Menurut pengerusi Tuan Haji Ali bin Haji Ahmad, persatuan ditubuhkan adalah untuk merapatkan dan menjalinkan kerja sama diantara pengusaha. maklumat dan pengalamanboleh dikongsi bersama.
Dengan cara ini pengusaha-pengusaha Melayu boleh saling bantu membantu diatara satu dengan lain. Dengan adanya persatuan kita boleh berbincang untuk menyelesaikan masalah bersama. ujarnya lagi kita bukan untuk bersaing dengan Persatuan Saudagar Burung Walet di Terengganu. Persatuan Pengusaha Rumah Burung Walet Melayu Terengganu adalah pelengkap kepada persatuan yang ada.
Persatuan akan bekerjasama dengan mana mana pihak dalam usaha memajukan industri ini. Ianya termasuklah dengan pihak kerajaan. Kerjasama ini penting supaya wujud suasana harmoni dengan pihak berkuasa agar ianya tidak menyulitkan mana mana pihak . Khususnya pihak berkuasa dalam melaksanakan peraturan yang ada.

My question is, do we need to form BH association accordingly to race? Why they can charge their member for only RM50 registration and annual fee for RM50 , but Selangor BH association have to charge RM500 and RM250 for the same purpose?

To all Sifus, please help.

I am going to change my window entry entrance to open roof entrance at the other corner of the farm. In order to train the bird to use the new entrance, I am facing some problem as below.

1. Can I straight away close the present entrance and force the bird to use the new entrance?

2. Better for me to use back the present calling sound at the new entrance or change to new one?

3. Or I need to reduce the old entrance hole bit by bit? How about the calling sound, still need to play?

4. If I use method No.3, at the same time, do I need to play calling sound at the new entrance? New song or present song?

5. When my farm having two entrances, it brighten my nesting area. So if I put on the calling sound at new entrance, the new visitor may have bad impression of my farm, what should I do?

6. I believe no matter how small the present entrance hole I reduce, sure got some old bird will still use the small entrance. So what you think when is the right time to totally shutdown the old entrance, normally it will take how long? (This farm is having about 100 birds)

It look like swiftlets will remember their flying path for a very long time. Changing entrance really is not a simple job. Better make a right design on the beginning, but what to do due to people complain.

Why still talking about sound….tweeter….Amp… Polystyrene Foam… ?

Swiftlets Keeping Industry will end in very near future!!!

Refer to Agroworld latest edition, there is a company from Johor, they are not building ecopark, not swiftlets breeding farm but SWIFTLET CATCHING AND BREEDING FARM, in Chinese they said “一网打尽”.

No matter your farm have 2 birds or thousands birds, they will all gone in one night. Once this company builds a farm in your area, once your birds go into their big cage, all this bird will belong to them.

This is really million industries…support by gov some more…..this is why recently so many farms wanted to sale….

Ecopark …..standalone….town bird house all dielah…

This only real nightmare!!

Again in “今日农业” (Pertanian Hari Ini), see how they use big cage to trap all the wild swiftlets.

What can we do to safe our swiftlets?

I 100% agree with Chank. If we belive that bird can live peacefull with human in town, we have to 100% belive that bird will not great any nature problem to human unless human own greated misstake like other biz in town.

More and more personal opinion sure will close down all the town BH one day.
