QUOTE(alpha_company @ Feb 20 2009, 03:32 PM) i do agree with u on the keys..it looks ugly when it's rounded like that..it doesnt look sophisticated at all like an N-series phone should. maybe the back cover is something like n95 8gb's cover. are the sides on the front slider like e71's metal sides? It does seem that the sides are metal.

The Samsung Innov8 is the first 8MP Symbian S60 phone. Nevertheless, the lens being used in the N86 8MP is quite interesting.

QUOTE(leob @ Oct 25 2009, 09:05 AM) i tried to update my firmware today...but it keep occur this: For optimum connectivity, your USB cable should be connected directly to the PC and not via a USB hub, USB keyboard or latop docking station? i cant update...i tried to reinstall NSU..but still occur the same problem... i even restart my pc and my hp...but still same... Why not just update it on the phone itself via WiFi?

QUOTE(taurusboyz90 @ Nov 10 2009, 07:10 PM) same price la bro.. Technically, the price should be the same. But there are some shops that jack up their prices for the white N86. This post has been edited by Mr. Green: Nov 11 2009, 01:02 AM

QUOTE(satan076 @ Nov 18 2009, 03:13 PM) Not sure ... my is V20. Got face detection for the camera, but sometime, it can't detect the face ... :S Oh ... also need to say "Thank you" to NSC in 1-utama for changing my camera due to lens got scratch (not on the center but side), and also replace my screen due to dust in it (how the hell it get in?) ... :claps: Seems like the scratch is also on my N86. They change it for free if it's under warranty? Cool. Did they change it to the new kind of lens? Or still the old one? The picture above shows the new one. You can spot the difference. QUOTE(satan076 @ Nov 19 2009, 05:57 PM) Oh .... from your photo, my N86 still the old 1 ... round 1 Is there different in term of function and picture quality? Well, I'm not too sure about that. But I do believe that the new one doesn't have the scratching problem.

QUOTE(skyer @ Nov 22 2009, 11:33 AM) Reply from Damian, the N86 developer: "hi. Change is to the shape of the opening around the lens cover only. Nothing else. It was found that such a small change could make a small difference to lens flare in some situations. As part of continuous development as most manufacturers do during a products life cycle, not just in this industry but in many others. we felt it was worth doing. Why not? This is not to say there was a known deisgn issue before you start calling Nokia care centres, as there is nothing fundamentally wrong as such with the original, but we were able to make it a little better. If I had an original should I be concerned in any way? Absolutely not!" Added on November 23, 2009, 3:49 pmGot my White N86 Ori set....the lens housing is Square.... QUOTE(BingYao @ Nov 23 2009, 10:52 PM) Also just got mine today, also square lens housing!! Hurray!! Updating firmware... A little slow.. Do you guys still put screen protector? Since already scratch resistant glass.. You guys got the new type of lens? Cool. I wonder if the service centers have those kind already. Btw, BingYao, I still put a screen protector eventhough it is scratch-resistant. Just for extra protection. This post has been edited by Mr. Green: Nov 24 2009, 07:36 AM

QUOTE(BingYao @ Nov 24 2009, 09:33 AM) Mr. Green. The screen protector is full down to the soft keys or jus cover the display area like the one sticking on the phone when its new.... Awesome phone eh.. The sound quality is simply mind blowing.. In my opinion is better than my ipod touch. It covers the screen and also the soft keys. =) Enjoy your new phone!
