higher mp doesnt mean higher pics quality, thats for dedicated camera. but for camera phone, i found this article do have some justification:

So, in fact the megapixels mean something. Well, maybe not as much as the marketing tries to convince us but they do have an impact.

Completely agree with you.Mega pixel counts are not really that important for digicams but more for camera phones.If u compare a 1,3 sweat.gif ,2.0,3.2 vs 8mp of course the 8mp wins.But 8mp with 12mp i'm not sure(Omnia HD vs PIXON12 vs Satio drool.gif )

So i think 8mp already the maximum lar...No need higher than that.For me, if i have the omnia HD thumbup.gif ,i shoot 5mps only.So much space for wat?LOL

How can we know if it's a smartphone or not? having a CPU? I saw that Satio have a pretty powerful CPU damn......very tempting indeed. When is it coming out?

all phones have their own cpu.

yerp. WM, OSX, blackberry all can consider as smartphone.
symbina s40 is not a smart OS as symbian s60

Sorry to say iPhone is NOT a smartphone. It cannot even multitask - the most fundamental function of a smartphone.
