My friend wants to get a E71, so I'm planning to sell him mine within this week and wait for Idou. How disappointing to see that the release date is still so far away.

Now I need to look for a temporary phone until Idou is released. Only hope they speed things up a little. The last SE phone I actually waited for was the K850 but I went for the N82 instead (due to the popularity of its xenon flash camera).

I hope I am making the right choice now (again, waiting for SE).

I only worry that they lower their 12MP to 8MP because 12MP is not achievable? Is that possible? Overall, this phone makes a lot of people drool, including me!

well..for me if they lower it to 8mp, i wud b very glad.. as its price is for sure will come down a bit than we expect oso, 12mp is js too much for average user, dat includes me as well..and even w/out that monstrous 12mp pic size, d phone will still b a gr8 multiimedia phone with its other features js it wont be hot as now la

coz 1 thing is they need to have the marketing hype.
2nd thing is, the technology IS possible to achieve. In fact, if they dare to announced tat they r developing the phone, means they wud already have quite alot of preparation...
so... its 99% stay at 12mp for this phone. =p
u can set it to 8mp if u wan tho. like all the digital cameras like that. lol

i dun understand what bugs that ap contained.
the mozt is that you can update you phone firmware locally/d.i.y

but the update is really a hassle
wipe out everything and everything set to default.

unless it has a debilitating flaw that really requiress updating

even then any bug does not affect AP specifically

Thanks for sharing. I'm plain skeptical about AP products. Dont mind me. Just need to check with you guys - how's the firmware updating process like for a SE phone? Is it more complex than upgrading the firmware of a Nokia phone?

Or is it the same, update via software on PC, straight forward?

quite easy actually
the on-screen instruction is simple and effective

only the aftermath...all data is lost, alarms, mods, everything on the phone is wipe clean
and revert back to new phone status
even the call timer is set back to 0
