QUOTE(cherroy @ Feb 19 2009, 08:33 PM) Nothing good or bad, the transaction is totally insignificant. The announcement merely states that the principal officials intend to deal (can be buy or sell)in the shares of the company within the closed period.30,000 shares just a little tiny peanut amount. If they bought 3 millions shares then may be investors will be alerted. Btw, it doesn't state the transaction is buy or sell either based on the information posted. It can be either way. Closed period means two weeks (not sure though)before the company announces the quarterly/yearly results. This kind of announcement usually have no bearing on the tradings. |

QUOTE(chyaw @ Feb 20 2009, 07:57 AM) Hi Iklatmy, I can only tell the facts, interpretation wise,up to forumers Thanks for the reply! My personal opinion is the principal official got minimum stock in hand. So, the chances they intent to sell the shares is low (if the company perform badly, the losses for them in shares also not significant). Therefore, I think most likely they intend to buy in a lot of shares (current price is very low based on my FA). Any other opinion? Maybe can catch a good deal! |

QUOTE(Ranny @ Feb 23 2009, 06:04 PM) purple is off-market deal. All DBT (direct business transaction ) are subject to brokerage too.Example - married deal which involves no brokerage commission being charged. It doesnt go through the KLSE queuing system. Both the seller and buyer must agree to cross the shares to be transacted. It is purple for recording purpose only. |

QUOTE(cherroy @ Feb 26 2009, 10:34 AM) Star cruise impariment loss should be the last and one off since Resorts no longer has equity in it. So it come out with clean now with Star Cruise. i believe RWB has not divested all it's investments in Star Cruise Ltd,Only part of it was disposed in 2007.As long as RWB still holds shares in SCL,there is possibility of further writeoff and writeback, all depends. |

QUOTE(aurora97 @ Feb 26 2009, 11:27 AM) To lklatmy : The covering must be done on the same day and it's from the open market,so no discount of 10 %.What happens if you oversold? http://lklatmy.blogspot.com/search/label/Buying%20In Btw just to add, for those who oversold. In order to cover back the portion u do not have i.e. say u gave instruction to sell 5000 units of A share but you only have 4000 units. Your remisier will have to buy back 1000 units there will be a 0.10 cent discount (i believe i forgot the calculation) to the price compared to the quoted market price. |

1.If the rights issue is renounceable, you still can sell the rights to subscribe(OR)when it is traded,
2.Rights issue also needs underwriter, any unsubscribe shares will be taken up by the underwriter(at least this appear to be the case),so the company will still gets all the funds. This post has been edited by lklatmy: Mar 2 2009, 10:48 AM |

QUOTE(elhh82 @ Mar 13 2009, 10:12 AM) wah, the exercise ratio for this berkshire call warrant gonna be amazing.. 1:10000 if we look at the BRK.B price on NYSE. Since the exercise price is zero, the exercise ratio is not important here because what matters in trading in zero strike call warrant are:http://www.google.com/finance?q=NYSE%3ABRK.B on related news, berkshire just got a ratings downgrade too 1.the movement of the underlying share price, and 2.exchange fluctuation Assuming you invest RM10,000 now when BRK.B is at say usd27,000(for ten units).Five years down the road and on cash settlement date, the price of BRK.B is still usd 27,000 and also assuming the USD/RM rate remained unchanged, you should get back your RM10,000(less incidental expenses).
