Just a note for those who is after the dividend for LCL (I am not that interested in holding until ex-div, only after the goreng gain/loss).
LCL gives dividend in May of about 10% TE, based on last year's par value that's about 10cents. Even if LCL sticks to it's usual rate, currently LCL's par value of RM0.50 means that at most this year will be 5 cents only. This post has been edited by PBB boleh: Feb 23 2009, 12:25 PM |

True, but when investors expects a certain amount of Div from a counter, any reduction or non payment of Div would incur the wrath of the investors.
Just look at Carlsberg, it has already drop by about 10% since declaring the 7.5 cent Div (no special Div). |

QUOTE(viper88 @ Feb 28 2009, 03:05 PM) Yesterday night i chk on Zelan closing transation and do some analysis. Agree with you, I was trading this counter yesterday so I was monitoring it very closely, the last min before pre close was going wild with "purple" colored transaction.Something is really goin on at the back for this counter Zelan .. It seems that some1 trying to take advantage of the situation to make Zelan counter drop to its lowest and later accumulate it back. Check its total buy and sell vol... almost the same. Total buy & sell transaction almost 10 millions. Last 15 mins transaction.. shoot up with big buying vol. (using the loopholes last 15 minutes buying in big) If Zelan is making losses but there's still big buying vols goin on... what does this tell us? Small fishes selling, big shark buying? EPF buying to average down their earlier price Mini budget insider news will benefit Zelan next month. MMC accumulating Zelan from third party to privatise Zelan I feel Zelan can buy at the range of 0.74-0.80 the lower the better as theres big support goin on the back... Last minute can chiong up like tat is really unusual.. see Graph. I'm unable to pull out the pulse beat vol transaction rate coz already close.. Its buying rate went up so fast... just like blood pressure going to burst ady.. [attachmentid=823357] Next week need to monitor this counter. All the above is just my own view. Do own research and analysis if interested to buy in this counter. As I have bought close to the .75 mark, I was tempted to sell into the frenzy to do an intraday trade, but then I changed my mind to see if the peanut gain can grow to a bigger fruit or not |

QUOTE(cherroy @ Mar 10 2009, 05:21 PM) Fast gast go to old metal scrap, see got any scrapped car cheap cheap then can get 5K discount. Makes u wonder, why not give the discount straight away instead asking for old car scrap metal trade in. Since most people who can afford to buy new cars now most likely DON'T have a 15year old car sitting around The most beneficiary under the stimulus package is plantation stocks, windfall tax of threshold CPO price being raised from Rm2000 to Rm2500 |
