QUOTE(kamilnu @ Jan 30 2015, 01:31 AM) I got the same weed infestation in my lawn with this weed. This weed germinates from a black seed. You have to dig and extract the seed along with the roots. Otherwise it will grow again. ah thank you, please post back if you get any result with the herbicide, am I watering too much? Fertilization I've only done that twice in 2 weeks, watering however I do it every evening. The problem is that u need to strip out the carpet grass to do it. I stripped out the grass initially but when the grass roots are esrablished, doing this will stress the grass. I'm experimenting with brushing Roundup herbacide on the weed leaves now. Your first photo shows that ur grass have a lot of thatch. Might want to reduce the watering a bit and fertilization. |

QUOTE(kamilnu @ Jan 31 2015, 01:21 AM) Twice in 2 weeks is a lot. Should be every 35 days. Putting too much fertlizer will speed the growth and the old/dead leaves/rhizomes, roots no time to melt in the soil. thank you once again, I'm just new (0% shit) to all of these, I'll try to water in the morning, scare later late for work Watering should be done infrequent but deep. Daily watering is only for newly laid grass. Watering everyday will make the roots shallow because they can find water easily. You need a deep root system for the grass to be strong. Water only in early morning, watering in the evening will lead to disease especially fungus problems cos the grass is kept moist too long. I talked to a pro landscaper which maintains the turf grass at Saujana Golf and Country Club. He said that a good carpet grass is one that is slightly dry. Not moist and certainly not water logged. |

QUOTE(ozak @ Mar 2 2015, 10:38 AM) You need to find out why the grass dying out. Will the new grass grow back? bought come herbicide from nursery and spray on them, according to them it will kill my weed but not my japanese grass, but it killed both, i figure it would be pointless to go back to them and argue, so i'm on my own now, lawn around 600sqftUnless you have big yard, an ordinary size garden won't cost you much if DIY. |

QUOTE(kamilnu @ May 9 2015, 10:20 PM) The weeds basically stop sprouting. This is because my carpet grass have crowded out the soil. I also cut my grass a bit long. There's practically no sunlight going through the soil at all. That solves it. I see, thanks, I'm been plucking them once per week, seems like a long journey I still have to go through |
