Hi there, i have been a lazy person as well when come to the garden. I have to take care of my parents house's garden (which is mostly all my plants) and now i have lawn to water for my own. Sometimes, it is worth spending < RM200 for a water timer to help. I invested my 1st water timer, a company from PJ. I used it for 6 months and the LCD screen went blank and servicing is not up to what i needed. Then, i did a survey and asked my connection and found a reliable one. Round water timer, light grey in color. pretty good and serves for outdoor. Some of my friends have been using their products for 3 years and still working well! they have a website you can refer. www.hydromateirrigation.com. I even found some other types of timers out there but many of them are not for outdoor because of transparent cover and you know our weather, direct sunlight will spoil the LCD. sad.gif.

phew... lucky me. now i dont have to stay back holding my garden hose for close to 1 hr after my work hours.. man, that is actually my free time with family. smile.gif

You can get those without LCD screen and just the knob switch for setting. More durable. I saw 1 at this pusat bandar puchong hardware shop beside toto and magnum. And ACE hardware.

Thanks ozak. i prefer LCD type since it states the time of watering and the duration of watering. Most importantly, it does tell what is the current time and the time i program. So, this way, i can easily identify the time of watering. I have seen the button type like you mentioned, thanks for the suggestion. The one i am using is A001 model from Hydromate. I managed to dig out old photo of the timer. it has LCD screen and big enough for old man like my father. tongue.gif. As i am forgetful sometimes, the timer does remind me on changing batteries with LED indicator that is blinking. pretty easy to handle. btw, the distributor has warranty over the timer. worth trying for those who needs the device and needs to set multiple programs at different interval. I have only used 3 times out of 8 different programs.

cheers and happy surfing. smile.gif
