It is normal. After a while it back to normal. You spray your fertilizer not even.

What I do is, pour the white ball into the pressure pump (can get it at ACE) mix with water. Shake it till diluted and spray evenly on the garden. All the grass look same green.

Thanks. by the way, how much of white ball for 1000 sqft of area? someone told me to put 2-3 soup spoon for 1000 sqft. Is it correct?

can someone tell me where to get this systetic grass?
*
Go to Jalan Sungai Buloh. I saw a landscape shop (north side of jalan sungai buloh towards Subang, Lot 16&17). i think it's called SMM.
it is selling systetic grass RM9.9 / sqft and RM12.90 / sqft.

Go to check it out.

Added on February 27, 2012, 10:43 amHi Stevie8 and all,

thanks for the feedback.

regarding the spotted area, I see no sand layer at all. for the good grass, I see some thin layer of sands.

Then, I have 2 questions that need help.
1) should I add more sands on top of the grass on the spotted grass? (please note that i haven't fertilize the lawn from Jan 2011 to Nov 2011 due to busy schedule)

2) I also have water retention issue. I was thinking to add height at the back by putting more sands. It will generate a slope so that water could flow from the back to the front drain. ( this will solve issue #1 and #2)

thanks for valuable opinion and your time for feedback.

I gotten it from Sg Buloh, I believe that there are 2 prices, the RM9/sqft and RM12/sqft. I gotten the RM12/sqft since my lawn isn't that big (and it looks nicer), and bought a few bags of fine sand as well. I gotten it from Lot 45 - Konzept Garden, no discounts unfortunately...
Before spreading the fake grass, i used the sand to level the ground and made a slight gradient to that piece of land. I have also arrange some bricks inside the sand, to prevent soil erosion in case of heavy rain. Once the sand is in place and have dried sufficiently, the roll of grass is spread over the top, and extras at the edge is trimmed off. Half a day job, quite simple actually.

I understand the fake grass is in roll. Each roll has a width of 6.5'. how do you stitch different pieces of fake grass together?

Hi Stevie,

I agree. I actually plan to put it on my outside pavement. Not my garden. you are right, the cost will kill me.

by the way, any feedback for my two questions in previous post?

normally, how thick should a layer of sands be?

one more plus point: easy to take out the weeds if you have a layer of sands.

hi all,

my friend introduced a chemical from Dupont. it will kill the weed but not the philipine grass. I used it only if i didn't take care of the garden for months and weeds were all over the place.

it was effective. you need to spray your garden once a week for a few weeds.

Added on March 11, 2012, 5:08 pmHi,

could someone advise below brownish things sticking out. what are they?

Added on March 11, 2012, 5:09 pmfor the hose, I bought there are a few types with different thickness.
i bought the thick one - 3mm. i remember it was below RM100 for 30M.
it's orange in color, very thick (3mm), hard to bend.

Got such thing kah? Can show pic of the product?

Yes, it worked for me. it's by Dupont ALMIX 20WP (kelas IV).
spray it once every 2 weeks. all the weeds will die and your philipine grass will survive.

it's in front of klang KTM commuter statoin. the shop is facing the KTM commuter station directly. You can see they sell garden chemicals etc.
I thought this is easy to find.... my friend just told me going to this shop.

Added on May 26, 2012, 11:02 pmMy grass got patches. My neighbor asked me to fill it up with sands. Is it good idea?

Second problem: regardless of fertilizing, my grass is still not so dark green like my neighbor's. Why?

Hi all, I have uneven ground. My philipine grass already grown on it for 1 year plus.
Now I ordered half load of sands and want to even it.

What should it do? for those who did it before, please share experience.

Seems very difficult to pin point exactly where the holes as it covered by grass.
My neighbor said simply throw the sands scattered around And Spray with a lot of water. Is this correct way?
