Philipine grass...i am having this....the 'wheat' thing is their flower....need maintenance....those place without much sunshine...they overgrown n too tall till like japanese grass!!!! Once u cut..the whole place become brown......as u cut off the grass n wats left is the dry grass underneat it....cut die no cut die

Yes. Sand base is correct. After put the grass you also need to topping with sand too

Did you put sand before you lay the grass?
I think as long as the grass is not turning yellowish, they should be doing fine.

That should be ok.
It take a bit time to adhere to the sand.
Now important thing is watering.
