It is left by the ex-house owner after several months + the several months im doing renovation. After that I m just hired the MPSP worker who happened to cut the grass by the road side to botak the whole things and I been watering it for weeks before they regrown back.

The grass as shown above doesnt grow very tall but those that under shade are kinda messy and very thick.

Or are they actually different kinds of grass.
But I pull it around and found that the root are kinda same but those grow under shade clearly have longer leaves.
Or are they even the same

Lastly I have this tree cut down but the remains just keep sprouting out some new one until I rethink maybe it is a good one to keep.

Does anybody know this?

Thanks in advance for all the advise and opinions.
Here's my lousy garden, hope to fix it to better shape before I do my open house in August.

May I know which type exactly?

Yes I can't help it with the sunlight because it is facing north west.
Some part only get 2-3 hours of sunlight in the evening.

I been trying to loosen the the soil at the patches, and flooded the whole garden but within 10-15 minutes the water will fully drain out.

I've seen some patches already have some roots. Don't know how long it will take fill up everywhere or maybe it will never fully covered.

Also I noticed a lot of weeds, mimosa, and unknown plants coming out. I try to pluck out because it's quite easy as their roots is not linked and not strong but they were like really too many. Will they eventually outgrow and take over my carpet grass?

I did not feed any fertilizer before except there is one time i splash all over the leftover of a flower fertilizer. I need advise on what fertilizer to buy because i suppose it will help them grows faster right?

QUOTE(stevie8 @ Jun 21 2012, 02:52 PM)
You cant tell which type even on at actual site what's more this is photo.

If you dont pluck the weeds it will outgrow the grass. You have to do it weekly. the more often you pluck the less and easy it will be for you to pluck and fight it. If you leave it for months, habis, finished, gameover! Once the young weed seeds you will lose out or you have already lost the battle.

To make sure it grows on those empty patches, never step on these areas and water it once a day. Step on areas that have grass they will not die on you. People worry the grass will die so they step on the empty patches. Wrong!

I'm constantly spending 15-30 minutes every 2-3 days to pluck the weeds now.
But they are very small i have to look for it carefully.

I just dont know how much longer I can do it untill i give up.
Will they really getting less and less if I pluck them more everyday until I can schedule to weekly or two weeks once?
