QUOTE(__mill @ Nov 15 2011, 11:49 AM) im not gonna plant the whole balcony with grass. haha just a portion of it. plus it's for my cat to play around if i didnt bring him down to the green park. its good to have some green in the house ya? but i dont know which type of grass is good. (that doesnt attract ants) there's drainage system, so should be ok. any suggestion? get pearl grass, it will not grow long like my phil grass, very irritating. but pearl grass has a disadvantage, if u did not water, it will die faster than phil grass.

QUOTE(cps @ Nov 16 2011, 10:25 AM) If lots of water and sun, how will the Jap pearl grass turn out? it will maintain, and grow to fill your empty soil. pearl grass die faster than it grows, if u didn't water them. It take ages for pearl grass to grow.

QUOTE(tiensong @ Nov 16 2011, 11:31 AM) Hi, may I know, 1) do all of you buy the grass and plant yourself or engage other people plant the grass? 2) Those place selling grass does provide planting service? expensive? 3) Any recommended shop nearby serdang/bkt jalil/kinrara/puchong/balakong? thanks~ tiensong, 1) if huge area, engage someone to plant for u. It doesn't cost alot to engage someone to do it. You need to re-soil, level the soil, put chemical to destroy seedlings, then proceed with laying your grass. 2) yes they provide services, but very often they will refer the service to their sub-con instead. Its slightly more cost effective to look for contractors and ask them to source for cheap supplies or look for your supplier.
