Haha understanding them all gives you the power to create something even more powerful than WebThunder maybe? Or hardware that give our current broadband the dusts. But heck, I still prefer programming.

It depends. There are many types of VPN implementation. Some uses the SSL/TLS security means they are somewhere Transport layer and Security layer. The network layer may also be affected because there are some IP reassignment and mapping process being done.

Kenneth, you're currently studying on CCNA? meaning more on routing and switching?
