More ram to process in the GC before throw all the pixels shits to your eyes in simple terms. laugh.gif

If you got read about GTA 4 in this forum, alot of users complained that the game lags big time, and because of the textures & polygons of the world is too detailed d, therefore the GC tak sempat process all of it, making the game lag, with more ram, the card can process more.

It's not just the RAM, u also have to consider other things as well.

GPU-Z for ASUS (Left) and XFX (Right).

I still wonders why Lost Planet needs so much graphic processing power, is it because of bad graphic coding or what? I played it already but doesn't seems to have much eye candy other than the characters in game only. World texture not really nice.

Yes, not much different, XFX only gains 1 extra FPS over ASUS, that's all. High quality gaming needs high quality gear, monitor and processor, it's a heavy investment, no point getting it if you're not playing those graphic intensive games with Core2Duo E4400 2.0Ghz (bottleneck), 1Gb RAM (Bottleneck), and 17" Monitor (Wastage of GC)

Erm no what I mean is I don't understand why a game like that also needs so much processing power.

It was one of the few that make use of DX10 engine when it first came out, so I believed the graphic engineer might have failed abit in optimizing the code.

The only game that really caught my eye for now is Devil May Cry 4 only, even Fallout 3 and NFS Undercover fails to impress.
