I have to agree with Sanjay. The last thing you want in your organization - certification junkie! I've been in the industry for more than 10 years now, nothing beats rolling-up your sleeve and doing the work. Certification may - extend your knowledge, but that's after you've gained a first hand experience of it. I not putting down the value of the cert or getting a cert, but the marketing ploy is just way beyond industry common-sense and practice. |

QUOTE(SeanConnery @ Mar 26 2009, 10:10 PM) Hmmmm how does an employer get refunded thru HRDF by the way? How does an employer qualify? Is there any chance the refund will be rejected? And oh, if one cannot afford the full course, how much just to take the exams? And there are certain requirements right? And oh, no sign as of yet of a response from EC-Council from the email you sent earlier For an employer to be qualified for a HRDF, the employer must be already a contributor to the HRDF. Check with the HR to know whether your company is already a HRDF contributor. MDeC also have such funds for employees of non-MSC and MSC status company to apply when taking up certification. However, the reimbursement for MSC status companies are much higher and covers a lot more. |
