well, it is written as tele converter tongue.gif
so it is a tele converter
and from the looks at picture 1 - that looks like an A mount
same goes to pic 4... looks like A mount

well, if it is A mount, it can be used in sonly alpha, but you will lose autofocus using this, meaning you can only do manual focus and the settings is also in Manual mode

UV filter is an one time investment to protect those expensive glass element.. recommended to get a good one if your lens are expensive

in M-mode.... u scroll the dial for shutter speed first...
then HOLD the "AV" button (nearby the viewfinder) & scroll.. will change the aperture
*
as what he said, but first check what is the settings for your dial

Go to Menu, left button 3 times to enter system settings
See Ctrl dial setup
If it is at shutter speed, means in M mode it will change the shutter speed and vice versa

However, for me, usually I go with the lazy mode biggrin.gif ... lazy to HOLD the AV button tongue.gif
Just Go Aperture Priority and set the aperture, then go M mode and choose the shutter speed I want

Hi,  I am not sure this question has been ask before. Is there possible to take a B/W picture with the object in color with A300....

meaning the background of the picture is black and white but the object is not black and white.

please advice. thanks

Edited:

If you have seen other people photo with such feature, this is because they use photo editing program like photoshop to mask them
do google masking in photoshop

guys,

in M mode, we cant set the exposure?
why not?
exposure is controlled by shutter speed and aperture
you manually decide what settings you want

UNLESS... you mean exposure compensation
this only works when auto is required
shutter priority, you set the shutter speed, aperture is auto
aperture priority, you set the aperture, shutter speed is auto

if everything is in manual, means you already know what exposure you need, don't need to use exposure compensation

some M42 adapter has AF confirm... which will light up if u focus correctly.. << need confirmation from sifu
*
yes, you get AF confirmation when focus is right
using af confirm adapter gives you SSS as well

its near titiwangsa monorail and lrt station
subang only got KTM, which mean i have to go all the way to kl central first
is there any other alternative?
*
umm... take bus to kelana jaya putra lrt
then take lrt to masjid jamek putra lrt
then walk from masjid jamek putra lrt to masjid jamek star lrt
lastly masjid jamek star lrt to titiwangsa star lrt

or just from subang KTM to KL sentral
then walk from KL sentral.. cross a street to go to monorail kl sentral
then monorail kl sentral to monorail titiwangsa

if you feet permits... you can walk a bit further by stopping at the Putra KTM Komuter station near The Mall, but I don't know whether does the KTM Subang goes direct or not

I'm going using the first way as above, minus the bus biggrin.gif

oo . you are getting wide screen .. nice .. smile.gif .. I am more interested with ryzan cz1680 laa .. adei .. no money to buy one .. haha .. ingat can sell my sal1870 for around 500 .. kekeke .. tongue.gif ...

by the way, 50mm f1.4 is for bokeh one right? .. no zoom and only blur2 background .. am i right?
*
the cheapest i saw people sold sal1870 was RM100 biggrin.gif

the main purpose of having 50mm F1.4 is not for the bokeh... aperture for low light photography
any lens can have nice bokeh, just the matter how you shoot only

so don't buy 50mm F1.4 just because you want blur blur background
