i think it cannot fit ur kitlens...because kitlens has a front rotating element(focusing element) CPL is needed to be twisted to get the best effect...so it will be troublesome if u have ur front element rotating..

erm..im nt sure..im nt tht pro sweat.gif ..i knw kit lenses(1870 and 55200) have front fotating element..other than these 2, all are using inner focusing thing.

u must be taking very 'good' care of ur camera...try to store ur cam in a dry place.
