dont worry too much
you will have 12 months + another 3 months warranty if you buy it new and register
you can play rough for 15 months without worrying

i emailed them regarding my online registration didnt give me the 6 months extended warranty.. emailed for 2 days in a row already
no reply at all

just now called them, then its updated less than 5 minutes

what people do inside call centre is just receiving email, reply and answer phonecalls, drink coffee

impossible if you can get the price with kitlens

btw, battery cost rm250 cheapest here
and 8GB CF cost around rm120
4CF around rm60
