i remember reading somewhere....think it was on the old kelisaclub forums...
someone mentioned that the Myvi 1.0 engine can be fitted....but the 1.3 engine cannot be fitted due to crossmember or something like that....not too sure...
another problem is, finding a myvi engine itself wont be that easy.
anyway, it all comes down to ur budget...if u have the money id say the K3-VET would be a real good choice... power to weight ratio will make the car really go and will give good fuel consumption.
otherwise, 1 of the 660cc DOHC turbo engines (forgot engine codes) would be a good alternative as well.
if ur car is a manual...want to make ur life easier? bolt on turbo kits. some say its not worth it due to the price...but it does save a lot of hassle with JPJ etc compared to engine conversions.

dont bother with the classic mini.... it was my first car...and although it fun huge amounts of fun to drive.... the lack of reliability and expensive parts are a huge turn off. stick to the kelisa... oh and theres a kelisa already fitted with YRV turbo for sale on zth forums... that should save u the hassle

to a certain extent what ur mech said is true....as the engine needs less effort (hence fuel) to push the car.
i once met a guy who had a 1.8 GSR turbo in his wira... and his fuel consumption was even better than my 1.6 B16A VTEC N/A

QUOTE(jeenhao @ Dec 3 2011, 06:22 PM) But turbo has higher maintenance... Can anyone tell me how expensive it's? What extra things needed to be serviced compared with NA??? agree with storm... alot of people have the misconception that turbo will consume more fuel or have higher maintainance....which is NOT true if the engine is well looked after. basic servicing is the same for NA or turbo. just the repairs might cost more since turbo has more parts compared to NA just like the example that storm mentioned.
