have you update RivaTuner to latest version, AFAIK, latest is RivaTuner FR2.0, it ain't RC16.2 anymore...biggrin.gif

hmm.gif, normally there are 2 modes, 2D and 3D, once you into 3D mode aka playing games, the card will self-overclock laugh.gif to stock overclock, if you know what i mean...

it is best to keep it cool and anything above 100°C is suicide... even though, my card reach 115°C laugh.gif, well... most of card can stand for >100°C, but depends on PCB built quality, capacitor and so on, on top of that, once reach the limit or what we call, an artifacts, then its reached the limit or overtemp... - don't know artifacts? google it... sleep.gif

ohmy.gif, really confused with your statement, anyway... it doesn't matter which is suitable clock number, we overclock until unstable state, until then only we know the card already reach its limit...

regarding the PCi-e and AGP clock, i remember when i did some overclocking thingy with 7300GT gDDR3, well, this is same as pcmoddingmy's case when he also needed to modify his PCI-e frequency from stock (100MHz) to up-to 130MHz when the GPU core (7300GT) hits over 800MHz, it'll more stable than stock 100MHz, reason... i still don't know...

i managed to get my Asus EN7950GT 512MB clocked to 656MHz/775MHz (1550MHz) @53°C full load with ThermalRight HR-03 (Fanless), but when in 3DMark05... doh.gif, i got lower score... owh btw, i think it's because of the driver (163.44), because, i got better score with older/previous driver (158.12, 91.47), in game performance... i got 25fps in BioShock with all high settings @1600x1200 brows.gif

IMO, it varies because of CPU, background application running and etc... icon_idea.gif, plus the driver too...

i don't know if nVIDIA's side or our side, but it appears that everytime boot, it'll go to stock clock, meaning, it won't stay overclock or else, have to overclock again, again and again... doh.gif, anyway... that's with nVIDIA's nTune, now using RivaTuner 2.04, seems ok now... no need to re-set as it'll overclock via start up icon_idea.gif

TechPowerUp! got a lot BIOS collection...

i don't mind each time reboot need to re-set the OC thingy... besides, my system 24/7 running... almost never shut down...
