If I am not mistaken, they purposely did that. Thats why they put it in Sangoukuden gaiden (三国外传).
In musha series, this seems to be a used method (always get old character from past and do something like back in future stuff) to create more characters (to be released).

Bandai purposely get Xiang Yu and Liu Bang back to help (their business) in Sanguo series.

I Just wikipedia Xiang Yu cause I really dont know him... so yeah... I dont know... Sima Yi brought him back to life or something... Then Sun Wu Kong Exia comes with the Celestial Budhas To Stop the three kingdoms from fighting... just a thought (Bandai You listen!)

You are right...not much Famous General left.
Those famous and not out yet are
龐統(Pon Tong), 魏延 (Kui Ting), 姜維 (Chiang Wei), 凌統(Lin Tong)...errrr ya....really not much.

haha, yup my mistake, actually 华雄is under 董卓, but killed by 关羽, that's why there's "温酒斩华雄" saying.

Maybe like most of you guys said, if there's not much interesting kits from Sanguo's series, I might go back for Seed, or even Gundam Wing series (if the kit's still available, haha)

anyway, hua xiong is quite keng general in the story. i tot sango has many remarkable characters, but counting till now only got less than 30

not soldier only...
actually the new sengoku(戰國) series are ole mold also, just some minor changes, mostly on the helmet

i had missed a lot of sanguo collection due to busy with work.... the last sanguo i bought is Zhou Yu... would like to continue the sanguo collection again.. is the free gift part still available in auntie lenny shop?

actually i think cheapest place for sango, and with the most complete list for sale would be grafitti nowadays. no freebie though iirc.
