recon is RECONDITION.

so what did u understand by the word RECONDITION. that's it.

Oh I see, thanks guys. No wonder why I can't search the word "recon". So basically it means it is used (second hand) but it is repaired, and all things should function well.

Do you think it's a risk to buy recon set?

Well theres always a risk to get recon set , but it doesnt mean it is spoiled before to be a recon set.

It might be just somone outside selling a good working second hand set , and a buyer (who own a shop selling the same stuff) buys it and refurbish (by cleaning it up) to resell it as a brand new set
And if the seller sells it as a new set but its a recon set < then ofcourse thats not right lo

But if the seller says it is a recon set first of all , then thats not cheating lo , cos thats what it is.

Well the risk is u buying something just refurbish but not spoilt before then you are lucky if the price is very low
If you are unlucky it might be a problem set before , and the buyer repair it and sells again as recon , then theres a high risk

recon is short for "reconditioned" aka refurbished

if the price is right , i would get it. can also ask seller about warranty.

even sony did sells refurbished unit long time ago.. their refurbished PS2.

but if at con shop refurbished can be priced as new ones..so be warned @_@

i have been at alor star game shop dat sell refurbish set for ps2 wif cheaper price n the box also in white color with "RECONDITION".
