Hi there, I'm wondering does this Omnia HD support motion sensor such as tapping the phone to play or stop a song, flipping the camera to launch a program or something like that? I saw that feature is available in Samsung Jet. Wondering can any Omnia HD owner share a little? Thank you very much. Really looking forward to hear about this soon...

Hey thanks 13579. Just curious do you install Garmin into the phone? I manage to get the 5.00.5 up and running in my phone but it seems like cannot get any signal. Secondly I do not know how to load map into it... any sifus here know how?
Added on February 26, 2010, 11:23 pmSome update to those who are interested with HyperX new firmware HX2.11.
Just downloaded and flash my phone to the latest HyperX firmware. Below are some difference from the version i used earlier (HX2.02)
Pros
1) Response is faster 2) Smoother transition between pages (from menu to menu) 3) Java application, e.g. games, runs better and faster, no more breaking bad picture
Cons 4) If you looking for sliding from main screen to the menu (right) and to the photo contact (left), it's also no longer available. 5) If you would like to use the 3D tast manager, you need to install that patch manually that comes together in the download package 6) Cannot support Chinese language (13579, for your info).
So far this is what I've tested. So far so good and the speed is really FAST! Will try to load in Garmin and see whether is it working on this version since i can't make it work on the previous version (can't get any signal)... Till then...

QUOTE(Us3Less @ Mar 3 2010, 10:32 PM) Bro , those r not cons ....2.11 is a speed version , everthing is keep 2 the minimum to improve the speed of the phone ....If u got Taskman installed , u can see its running around 170 of free RAM or around there without a single extra application installed . But then it comes at a price , least language support ( only 2 ) , no 3D Navigation , etc....for Java , even if HyperX 2.02 , u can upgrade it to the latest java for a smooth game compared to the original installed . 2 bad SOHD cant support the latest flash ...damm . If u wanna everything like in 2.02 , just wait 4 the main release and if u need help with Garmin , pm me . Thanks for the feedback Us3Less... That's just some feedback after install the new firmware to inform those who is planning to upgarde. No hard feeling... Earlier on i didn't manage to find the solution to upgrade the java and that's one of the reason i upgrade it to H2.11 Btw, what is the SOHD you mean? I've manage to get the Garmin working.. jsut wondering do we need to download the data every 7 days from this Samsung LBS in order for the Garmin to work?

QUOTE(Us3Less @ Mar 4 2010, 11:20 PM) No hard feelings la ....apa mau "keras perasaan" for la .... I am just letting u know y all those features is missing . SOHD is short form tats all , for Samsung Omnia HD . Added on March 4, 2010, 11:23 pmA piece of advice for those using RomPatcher ....Copy your patches from e:\ to f:\ and delete the folder in e:\ ......This done because c2z is not stable , it get glitches quite often and if u r trying to on your hp , it cant b switch on as the the process is relooping itself . With the patches installed in f:\ , just remove your memory card and start the phone Haha... you're right bro... by the way, i'm still do not know what is this c2z all about...

Guys, i'm not sure about anyone of you who is using HyperX 2.11 speed version firmware. After a few weeks of using it, i do not know why my phone starts to response slower than usual. Opening up contacts, sms sometimes will hang... Is it just my phone? Anyone facing this problem too?

Oh well i did install the 3D task manager. Well i've flashed to the latest HX-V3-16... 1) well it really slows down alot compare to the 2.11 speed version once you've familiarise with the speed version 2) the response also seems slower compare to speed version 3) yes you can back up all your info before you flash... Must do that. I didn't do for the first time and all my phone contacts in phone memory gone! just back up using the Samsung PC studio software and restore once you're done with the flashing. Overall, i don't see much different though but just feel the speed is sloooooooooow in response and the gallery browser that browse the pix are very slow too compare to the speed version... i think i might go back to the speed version which not much complain except for sudden hang. I had 2 times hang on this HX-V3 within 1 days after flashing... it didn't happen to the 2.11 speed version, at least not so soon. Pix? well i also feel not much different. Dunno maybe not an expert to comment on that

haha... Yea... now i really getting a bit fedup with the new version.
Imagine when i hang up the phone call, i press the hang up button, it took about 2-4 seconds to get back to the screen. Really slow and the transition from main menu to SMS or the menus, really slow down alot if you've used to speed version.
Back to your question whether is it 100%, well i can't really tell but from my back up, i back up the phone sms, contacts, content such as video, pictures, all restore to exactly like before you flash and even the games that you've installed... but funny thing is, not the Garmin.
Oh talk about garmin, the installation now also slows down alot. I took me more than 2 minutes for the phone to response to install it. Speed version, after pressing install, immediately it'll response whether to continue. So guys, if you're used to speed version, you won't like this v3-16 version... at least that happens to me because i don't see much different up until now.

eh... not yet tested the recording though on this firmware.. let me try and see...
Added on March 19, 2010, 11:16 pmOk. just tested a 40 second recording... well, let's put it this way, you hear so called the noise in video recording but the audio is very sharp and clear. I was also quite surprise... the older firmware recording is not as sharp as this after comparing. Older one not so clear... that's a plus point for this new firmware.
