All I know is that the heatsink below the ROG logo doesn't need to be replaced.... I onli know that the onli one that needs to be swapped out is the heatsink on the middle which cools ur NB since it is all chained up....

Full WC setup is not preferred coz of the airflow.... This also needs to hav balance.... I saw some of the reviewers' PCs and they seem to cool the CPU, NB and GCs onli....

EDIT: Aaaahhh.... I c now... they placed an extra heatsink there... But I believe using active cooling is much much better than using passive....

yea the only thing that needed to be remove is the whole block then seperate the heatpipe of the mosfet from the nb/sb block. the rog light is a heatsink itself to cool the qpi card. the block of the stock nb/sb to the qpi card heatsink actually doesnt cool the card, it cools the chips below the card. so if u mount back the rog light means it has no difference of cooling with or without the block for the qpi card, only matters is the cooling for the chips below the qpi card will be gone so jus replace it with a small ramsink for the chips.

And that idiot came into this topic starting to bark stating that the ek block has no cooling for the qpi card which the original heatsink doesnt have either. the stock heatsink is cooling the chips below the qpi card, not the card.

cstkl1,place a fan,do some pressure mod and change the tim on the qpi v card,does it help???

haha panaflo on qpi card ! i think his qpi card (cstkl1) is cooled by dry ice or maybe LN lar. if not he say can't achieve his oc target. LOL! he cant answer ur question la OC4/3 about cooling. He is pro at bios and OC so ask him bout OCing.

yea i cant clock but at least i know how the cooling works, yet someone yelling whole nite saying the qpi card needs to be cooled but yet dont know how the qpi card is cooled stock. LOL He doesnt know that removing the whole stock NB/SB stock block will only affect those small lil chips underneath the QPI card, where i suggest to put some ramsink on it. He thinks that the block is cooling his qpi card. LOL

He doesnt even know that removing the stock NB/SB heatsink/pipe doesnt affect the cooling of the qpi card as long u reinstall back the ROG light heatsink, yet keeep yelling in this whole thread that if i remove my stock heatsink nb/sb block will blow my qpi card! hahaha

clock i7 is not hard on r2e, i'm just not too into it in extreme oc yet, have more to learn but roughly i know how. we r talking bout the cooling here regarding the EK block, and yes i own a r2e.

there we have a super clocker up there giving comments. U can ask him bout OC lol

your post doesnt even help ts on any point,and bout that asus r2e bios 1104,i can say cstkl1 have been working closely with asus main tech department and interaction via phone call and e mail...and just f.y.i from my case report of asus p6t vanilla they did mention his name in my e mail once i told them im from malaysia and from this forum,so i believe he have some good contact with asus head tech department and can communicate well to them any problem we are facing..

dude,its not even me or them doesnt like u..but cstkl1 do clocking and have a reason why he said qpi card need extra cooling..but u dont do clocking and said that card doesnt need extra cooling..on stock i think no prob..but to uncore 4k really need extra cooling..we are all newbie achter..

what the point having water cooling if not clocking??better with air cooling or i must say stay on stock..pointless..ure hardware got sufficient cooling system but just stay at stock speed..same like having a superbike but stay at 80km/h..
