Yay! Had an excellent ride with all the forummers who joined in the "little-mudfest". tongue.gif
Thanks to "maxguy (mountain goat)" and "scotty" who took turns to lead (guide) and sweep (behind) us.
Very grateful to have cycling-mates like you guys. All in all, the 2 names mentioned as above took great care of all the cyclists especially the younger cyclists (like me).
On behalf of me and my 2 friends (another young/mountain goat and the young-girl), we'd like to apologize for the slow speed. cool2.gif
Part of our slow speed was caused by not knowing the trail at all and the mud! (doh.gif).
Hoping to meet you guys there or FRIM (my favorite place) in the future. icon_rolleyes.gif

To "maxguy":
Sorry that my friend (the young-girl) pissed you off in the beginning.
You know la, all the young kids... whistling.gif
She also said that you and "scotty" were very nice. brows.gif

When can you guys upload the pictures or videos taken?
*
safety is most important. we will given reminders if required. nod.gif .Glad you guys enjoyed yourselves .We always look after each others back when we r out there riding. by the way...your young girlfriend is very adventurous....like i said...now she has something to bragg to ther mates.and me and scotty thinks she has the lightest bike around today.

half way through pcp....body say stop going to pcp and returned home....hahahahahaha....nice ride......as a newbie, thanks for showing me the way....
*
hehe..my body has broken down also...now sakit kepala...i think the best part is wad where they asked us to climb back up again after that DH.the tanah liat there was good as well.....good ride overall.

QUOTE(radmaszeal @ Apr 12 2009, 04:19 PM)
yeah. safety very important. etiquette oso important. going down tar road cannot go too fast, if meet traffic sudden brake become superman and face plant. i think my bike is quite heavy la. or i dont have any strength/stamina tongue.gif

sms parents told them edi. they asked if the bike can actually go offroad or not tongue.gif. told them about the crash and the broken brake lever. hoping for more funding later. but fork no disc brake tab, frame oso same. limited choices if wanna upgradeexcept if change whole bike. apollo was ok la. damn sad the last part couldnt go due to the broken lever. but good thing it didnt happen much earlier. only got 1 scratch on shin, but intestines feel funny after the fall. legs and arms feel like jelly. lol.
*
hehe...thats quick..tell them the advantage of having certain stuff man...disc brakes the way to go.upgrading on your old bike may need quite a number of changes..there's quite a number of bikes to choose fr if you can ge them to fork out 2K ....or more?

QUOTE(bonesboy @ Apr 12 2009, 04:55 PM)
guys & girls. i just reach back.. so hows my surprise? well feel like i;m getting better wit the trail. now need to look for brakes & XT rd wit shifters. Next week i'll be alone in FRIM.  rclxms.gif  rclxms.gif

The younger kids need to understand that some trails r new to them. we learn frm our experience & we teach the younger 1 from that.

Btw. every1 had great fun. Right? Here is the pics frm today ride.. Tq to scotty & maxguy & the rest of the riders.    notworthy.gif  thumbup.gif

Can't really agree that disc brakes are the way to go.
Disc brakes take the most weight (combined with levers, cables, calipers, brake pads and mineral/hydraulic fluid). tongue.gif
*
hehe...heavier yes but i never compromise on safety.worth every extra gram . it gives you the braking power when you need it...dont wanna be kissing the trees biggrin.gif .can be damaging though if you do not control it well.

4km from KSH all the way to the crossroads, rite? That's a good workout by itself.
Your XLR8R I thought you give your adik?
He is in Sarawak LOL..
*
nolah....it aint OAKLEY....it's KING's safety glasses....hahaha...got it for RM8. lost it last sunday in KIARA.

need some help 4m any1 of u to tell me how much is the XT RD & FD set cost wit shifters. thx
*
next week where? kiara or frim? i went to Studio R today to look for the DUNLOP glasses.ran out of stock and it seems that it is RM20+ or something. hopped over to why pay more and they have some from wilson (RM 90+, interchangeable's ) and the higher end dunlop ( RM80+). gonna still get the cheaper DUNLOP version. after all it's affordable and it protects the eyes.

cycled for a few months still no difference in stamina or weight sad.gif
btw i'm using a cheap lerun and it tries to kill me everytime i go to kiara. that and my lack of skills. anyways, for commuting it is decent but a little on the heavy side.
*
i dont think you should lose anymore weight man...train on endurance.my muscles dont sore that much now compared to the first time at kiara..it should get better after every ride.well having said i try to give it as much as i can going up the hills.....i like to feel the burn.it tones up your muscles
