QUOTE(leinnz @ Apr 14 2009, 01:40 PM)

below 20KG is still free for MAS

Yeap, but a complete bicycle is considered as over sized.

QUOTE(sniper on the roof @ Apr 14 2009, 01:47 PM)
10.4kg without packaging but this should be considered oversize package leh. Got surcharge or not?
*

I thought they're one of those many capalang brand only. Their frame is veli light and cheap. Strong or not I dunno.
*
Keep this in mind:
Light frame = Not so strong and expensive.
Heavy frame = Should be strong and cheaper...

QUOTE(latias93 @ Apr 14 2009, 11:42 PM)
I dunno lah.. it's a new brand though, although I wouldn't trust my body to their frames haha.. I went to their website just now and it looks quite loaded with many diff. bikes and accessories. They also have a huge catalog in PDF format downloadable from their website.. Venzo carries some nice stuff also lah.. quite affordable if they bring in more accessories into M'sia. It's just a okay brand I guess haha. Anyway gotta sleep now, here's their webbie if you're interested..

Hmm, anybody thinking Rock Shox?

QUOTE(ober @ Apr 15 2009, 12:23 PM)
Welcome back!
Yeap. El-Cheapo stuffs.
It depends on what u wanna ride it for.
FR = SR Suntour Duro FR20
XC = Manitou Slate
AM = Spinner Eagle
*
Hey bro, can recommend any fork under RM400 that is SR Suntour or Rock Shox-branded?
If I change my leaking fork now, I've only got a budget of RM400.
However, if I get 7 As, I get RM7k to be utilized for personal uses, example, upgrade bike components. brows.gif

7k can get a Giant Anthem with a top up of a few hundred of your own pocket money.

I was planning to use the RM7k to upgrade the components and maintain the frame.

QUOTE(sniper on the roof @ Apr 15 2009, 05:01 PM)
Nein.. best RM400 fork --> Rigid!!!
Shifters first... RD later. I personally think RD don't matter much... mainly bling niah especially if you're already on Deore. XT shifters are faster...it shifts as soon as you press/pull and not until you release like the Deore.

Bro, don't joke ler.

RM400 is my own pocket money.
RM7k is if I acquire 7 As in PMR. That's a very big difference.

if not mistaken the Truvativ have a problem of the crank bolts unscrewing itself over time...
the Shimano ones, are tighten by a hand-tightened preload screw, then 2 pinch bolts are tightened to hold the arm down, much more effective and fool-proof than the single-bolt mechanism...

I'm using Truvativ FiveD, do I have the problem listed?

You and "kai5183" are using full Shimano XT groupset?

QUOTE(radmaszeal @ Apr 18 2009, 12:30 PM)
just got back. frim got some flowing singletrack trails can go nonstop for quite awhile without going down and pushing. but the climbs(more pushing than climbing 4 me) are torture. tomorrow if my genital area isnt numb anymore might commit suicide go kiara.

The track that you did can't be compared with what I usually ride @ FRIM every Sunday. icon_rolleyes.gif

QUOTE(radmaszeal @ Apr 18 2009, 01:28 PM)
ah. i'm still a newbie. more pro at pushing than riding. lol. and my bike isnt exactly the lightest, just now pushed 75% of the way up steroid hill. but the singletracks are less technical than kiara. tomorrow going to kiara?
*
Yeap, I don't really like "technical trails" cause I'm still a noob and FRIM is much easier than Kiara.
I usually tell myself to take "technical trails" as training for me and to gain new experience.
Any pictures from today's ride? Hope you guys enjoy a great ride tomorrow and remember to ride safe.
PS: While you're all riding, I'm stuck in a hall being lectured. doh.gif

my complete bike i think is around rm9k plus... my corratec is not compete bike, last time i used to ride with trek 4300 HT n doere group set, jz upgrade and change from time to time until like this, so far i already spend rm11k on mtb already...
my advise is, if you wan to get a gud bike...make sure u survey around, read more review on each bike u wanna get... then do saving until you get the right amount of $ to buy or built your dream bike.
regarding ur t-bolt, u better keep it or sell it to fund ur new bike

Darn it, maximum budget is only RM7k.
Probably have to maintain the frame and upgrade the rest of the components.

Never seen them before. Are they children of government official?
AFAIK, I cycle with one of our Member of Parliament's son and he's using a KHS Full-Sus and a Trek 4300 only.
PS: He quite low profile but you'd know who is the Member of Parliament. tongue.gif

Hey bro, really sorry that I won't be able to make it this Sunday and future.
However, I'll be able to make it there (FRIM), latest by 24th May '09 (Sunday).
I won't be able to cycle for about a month cause my friend (driver/transporter/cycling buddy) has exams and so do I.
My freaking PMR-trial exams are 2 weeks! doh.gif
All in all, I think you'd have to start your offroading yourself without me. icon_rolleyes.gif Really hope to cycle with you guys in the future! thumbup.gif

was cruising down the mild hill at the back of my house.
Didn't notice there's a small longkang ahead of me and i ran over it.
The rear tire was punctured and when i dismantle the tire..i found out there a crook on it.
Must have hit the edge of the longkang while i ran through it.
So now how? Can save ah?
*
Were your tires at very high or low pressure?

QUOTE(Nightstalker1993 @ Apr 24 2009, 09:34 PM)
use only lor...
dents are normal, but not on mine
you should see my friend's Rigida Taurus, at least 5 of those dents lol...
*
I'm worst than your friend.
My Rigida Taurus has got about 12 dents (worst than "M@r0R!"'s) just on the rear.
However, my front doesn't have a single dent.
PS: I love cycling down-the-stairs.

Hey guys came back from hospital at about 2:30pm. Thx for all the wishes
Turns out to be a fractured collarbone. Doc gave me a sling and asked me to let it recover itself within 2 months or so. Gee.. now everytime I get up from chair or just plain move can hear the fractured bones making noise (like the noise of shifting gears).
Got 1 week mc.. looks like I'll be in bed for some time.
*
Get well soon!
When did the accident happen?

QUOTE(Lord_darkslide @ Apr 26 2009, 07:21 PM)
dear latias93..
get well soon have a good rest.... collarbone fractured... aduh... take care....
what to do shit happen...
by the way... we can rest together... i got mc 2 days only...
ALWAYS WEAR A HELMET~~!!
i got deep cut in the forhead, badly bruised elbow and shoulder and knee.... not x-ray-ed though... but supposed no broken bone.. since my arm can move accordingly...but painfull la when move....arghhhh...
my rm60 sars helmet broke during impact...to me thats good... all the forces of impact didnt get to my head.. because the energy is used to broken the helmet instead transfred to my head... hmmm... (boring engineering physics class lasttime i sleep... so cant explain in detail....hehheeh)
*
You should be glad that only your helmet broke. tongue.gif
