Real aren't as strong as they sound. I honestly don't see why people are harping about how great they are when they're 7 point behind Barca and just 2 weeks ago, a good 12 points behind. To me, they're living in their past reputation, so called 9 times European champions.

I think Liverpool would do well against them tomorrow morning. I think a slim win for LFC and i the returning leg at Anfield, LFC will probably beat them. I've been reading an article where Alex Ferguson says Real is over rated and that they will struggle to play against team that play a high tempo game. That is very true and i guess its no secret anymore. Arsenal beat them comprehensively in 2006 with a distinctive young side and pace was Arsenal's greatest weapon that 2 matches. I'm sure Liverpool will turn up the tempo.

Real: 9 win in a row.
We: draw king.

I remembered when we talk about this in December. We were at the best and they were at the worst. And now, it's opposite. God can be funny.

My prediction on Rafa's mind, we come to get a draw and win them at Anfield. But things might won't work that way..

I feel better when we are the underdogs. We always play well when we are the underdogs.

The match against Olympiacos.

The match against Barcelona

The match against Juventus

The match against Inter Milan and few more other matches.

We play well and I believe we can do the same tonight!

a first leg draw away is an absolutely horrible result for us.
because they can draw at anfield (such as a 1-1 draw) and they'd go through.
if we could win  1-2 away itd be a fantastic result, because if we concede at anfield once, we'll still go through.
arsene wenger was talking about the disadvantages of the away goal system, as many teams playing at home in the first leg would try play for a 0-0 draw.

Don't worry much about drawing or winning. The most important thing we have to do tonight is score a few away goals(even if the result ended up 3-3)and that will keep our chances of qualifying high.

When teams come to anfield for European Game, they don't score much. Most of the time, ended up being bore draw.

Plus, the supporters will be our 12th player on pitch flex.gif

And, don't doubt that having second leg is not advantage. It is a very big advantage. smile.gif

Bookies suspend betting on Rafa to leave Anfield

Britain's top bookmakers have suspended betting on Rafael Benitez leaving Liverpool.

Both Skybet and William Hill have taken large sums of money on the Spanish manager to depart since Tuesday evening forcing them to stop taking bets on Wednesday morning.

William Hill reported that they were forced to drop the odds on Benitez being the next Premier League manager to leave his job, either sacked or through resignation, from 20/1 into even money before they suspended the market. And Skybet saw a flurry of bets on Benitez not to be at Anfield at the start of the 2009-10 season before reinstating that market at odds of 2/5.

Rumours circulating on Tuesday afternoon claimed Benitez would leave the club before Saturday's trip to Liverpool though it was clearly business as usual ahead of the Champions League trip to Real Madrid with the manager walking with the players and continuing preparations for the Round of 16 tie.

The odds on former boss Kenny Dalglish returning as their next manager have been shortened to 3/1.

Fans may question the timing with Liverpool at the Bernabeu. Real have been strongly linked with Benitez for some time and with his Anfield contract wrangle no nearer a conclusion the rumours are sure to intensify.

Benitez has been in discussions over a new contract on Merseyside for months but has failed to reach an agreement with his current deal running out next summer. It was reported at the weekend that the 48-year-old has rejected four separate drafts of the contract.

Benitez dodged questions about his future during Tuesday's press conference in Madrid.

The main sticking points have surrounded control of transfers and the club's Academy, with Benitez wanting full responsibility for the direction the club is taking.

It appears owners George Gillett and Tom Hicks are reluctant to rubber stamp a move which would marginalise the position of chief executive Rick Parry.

Benitez is a hugely popular figure among Liverpool fans and his departure would cause great anger, no matter what the circumstances, though at present there is no concrete evidence that Benitez will walk away from Anfield.

Expect a 4-5-1 or 4-2-3-1 formation with Torres up front.

No matter what, Gerrard to boost the front line with his come back, i can sense that.

at least hes a good professional and WANTS to play football, unlike a few certain individuals who were just happy to be in liverpool, as if its the be all and end all of their careers...
and like some who just dont care even if they dont get a game...like that stupid french goalkeeper whos rotting away somewhere.
