tried..doesnt really improve my connection like a proxy do
since my ping to ur gp svr is already quite high
so yeah

mmm..i miss this good proxy..not a WOW gamer but this proxy did wonders to the lag my streamyx gives to my online games >_>

p.s : anychance of proxyme opening up his server again for paid users? =o

i was wow heavy player during 2006-2008 earlier >"< not until i start working i stop for a while, as for now my job and place to stay has been stable i would really wanted to go back for wow taiwan >"< and i stay in cyberjaya, for now i havent reload my char, but i heard my friend said the connection was bad, he is using a china proxy, which day time could have only 500ms, and night time even drop till 800ms || but last time early when leveling, we also 800-1100 also play so happy >"< but now request has been increase, hope can get much more connection (coz want to enjoy pvp >"<)
anyway i really wanted to give a try, if it's a good proxy, i would like to introduce it to my friend, after u go live (with $$) and maybe i will ask more friend to play with it

Hi, if you use gates 201-204 the latency for you to ping to my server will be low but you cannot discount the fact that the latency from the server to the final game server is still gonna be high. It's the same for his server.

If you ping USA server the latency might be high like 200+ but the server to the normal wow server is sub 10ms. So in the end if you can connect to the USA server at 200+ms the ping reduction is greater due to how the technology works.

Local servers like proxyme's and Gamepath's gate 201-204 are catered more for stability and users who have issues connecting to international sites.

when i ping gate201-204
the ping shows around 100-150ms lol not like sub 30ms like everyone else
the best ping i can get is to gate41 which is around 300ms

hurm..one question, is gamepath exclusively for WOW or can it be used for other online games? =s

I think gamepath related discussions should be done in the gamepath topic itself instead of hijacking other people's topic. In addition, proxyme DID NOT even once advertise about his own server in gamepath's topic

Gamepath is a paid proxy, and this is a free one, therefore there's a big comparison to it, infact if the owner doesn't earn, who will invest their time into setting up servers for u guys.... So there's no need to advertise and advise people to try out gamepath, etc., you can bump the gamepath topic if you wish to, but not hijack

well, i would advice that this proxy should allowed only for gaming and should not be use for p2p and download service, since majority p2p are containing illegal downloads. like those dumb ass that download as hotel for dogs? dogs for hotel? or what ever.

they didn't appreciate for a free game proxy and just abuse it.

here i do wanted to remind CERTAIN user here that this is a FREE GAME PROXY, see the word GAME? it is a gaming, not your everyday 24 hour p2p movie download.

Added on March 16, 2009, 12:49 amand do reminded that proxyme said, even if you use dynamic and think no people will find you. they will still can locate and know who are you.

it's easy to locate you with your ip. it is dynamic? no problem. they just need to know the time of you using this ip to do illegal activities, trace the ip and see which streamyx user is using the ip at that time. WALA!! they know already know which streamyx user. after checking registration info and your IC and stuff blablabla. you will sit at home enjoy until you receive a letter and prepare to be sued.

God..really hate the guy that abused this proxy =.= i recently became one of the 115 ip "infected"...=.=

Now i cant even play my game without moving 10 steps and finding out im 5 steps behind lagging =.=
