hi...i am new here...i have a ipod touch second generation currently the firmware is 3.0. I plan to jail break it.So which jail break should i use??blackra1n or RedSn0w?

according to the website http://www.iclarified.com/entry/index.php?enid=5527 blackra1n is tethered jailbreak..which mean i can't restart or turn off or let the battery die...am i right???

what about RedSn0w?? is it tethered or untethered jailbreak??
