Very nice.....I'm really itching to try untethered, but I just JBed 2 days ago....kinda lazy to restore everything again But the lure of untethered is soooo strong.....I don't know if I can resist it. BTW any success stories? Been hearing of some errors with all methods of untethered JB, not sure which method to use.

DFU Mode - hold power and home button together for 10 secs, then release power but continue pressing home for another 7 secs. You're in DFU mode. If you have it connected to a PC, it'll sound like plugging off a USB device. DFU mode is to allow you to restore a new firmware. Anyhoos, success with Quickfreedom Very nice, now I don't need to be afraid of a reboot

QUOTE(pigit @ Mar 13 2009, 04:40 AM) Ok, I downloaded Cydia and installed the updates, everything was working fine, and tried downloading a theme. It said restart the device so I hit the button and it just completely crashed and nothing is responding. what the heck? Hmm....did you use QuickFreedom? Cos it sounds like you did a tethered Jailbreak instead of untethered..... If you did use QuickFreedom, then I really have no idea why....

I think restore to original firmware is just a precaution, as some people have problems JB from a tethered ipod. Myself, I just JBed straight from a tethered and had no problems.

No love yet for the iPod touch 2G.....not that I mind too much, nothing in 3.0 really excites me too much anyways Though if SQ is improved, I'd rush straight into it....

I think overall 3.0 is a bit sluggish. Reboot seems to take ages, respring seem to take months. I don't know whether it's worth the benefits that we get, but I guess we have to live with it for now....
