what brand of the eye lashes curler are u using?
a branded eye lashes curler will helps ur lashes to be more curler and long lasting...
im using a very cheap curler =.= bought at watson..
at first i thought this is already enough for me ,
but now im looking for better curler ,
the "cheap" curler sometimes make my eyelashes look like 90degree..
=.= an exactly L shape..
ya this relates with ur own skill too but i do believe that a better curler can gives u a better result

if u r chinese, u can watch this video : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GH57VUjlw5w
i learned from here too..biggrin.gif
very useful tutorial...

erm about this question.. "Should i curl then use masraca, then curl again?"
some mascara will stick together when u use a curler after it..
but some r not..so u can try urself..

here are some nice brands curler that recommened by many ppl :
- shu uemera ( some girls bought with RM6x , i think the price rised up )
- sana ( have to buy online , not selling in shop , RM3x )
- rmk ( only RM35 )
- shiseido ( buy online with only RM3x , but if buy at the counter u have to pay rm7x )

just my "conclusion" after i read those reviews in other forums..
i hope this helps biggrin.gif

Can try using mascara base instead of curlers. Try Lancome latest mascara range(forgot the name, starts with 'A'). Bit pricey (RM90++) but result is satisfactory. I always try mascaras without curlers. See the natural effect. Oh, I tried Estee Lauder 's latest 'vibrating' mascara. Jack up my lashes to the max. If you use this one, no need to zig zag. If your mascara clumped, use eyelash comb.

My sis uses maybelline waterproof volumax or something. The tube bit 'chubby' in the middle. she likes it. very easy to remove too. just use water and it dissolves quickly. save on the eye make up remover. I'm sure there are testers in the pharmacy. Can try. But some of the testers dried up. So can't really see the actual result. Personally, I think Maybelline is good. They invented mascara.

You need to find a curler which suits your eye shape.

Shu Uemura's curler is very popular and famous, but it works for some girls, and does not work for others.

For me, sana's curler work well for me. Probably because of its wide angle.
You need to clip it close to your eyes, and let go, move the curler slightly lower your lashes, clip it together again, let go, then lower, then clip it together again. be careful not to pull your lashes. Make sure you let go before sliding the curler down slightly.

I usually need to clip about 3-4 times to get that perfect curl.

I have maybelline volume express. If I'm too lazy to use a curler, I'll usually put the wand of the mascara close to my lashline under my lashes, then zigzag it upwards, pushing it slightly towards my lids. For me, it helps to curl my lashes abit that way.

Don't worry gal, Practice makes perfect !~^^

oh!~ I wana try the new "vibrating" mascaras in the market. lol.

As for what kinds of mascaras, for low budgets, there are lots of mascaras in the drugstores, like Watsons and guardian. It depends on what kind of effect you are after, and what you want.

Hiyee,

The purpose for the vibration is to eliminate the need for zig-zagging, I think. You zig zag to separate the lashes. You girls should try the Estee Lauder 'vibrating' mascara. smile.gif It's really good. It separates, curls, adds volume and lengthens. I would not use curler if I use this. But sigh...it only comes in black. I prefer brown.

I remember the Maybelline mascara is somewhere around RM30 at normal price.

Well, what type of effect are you after?

lengthening? voluminous?

I like Maybelline Volume Express. It gives me abit of length and darkens and thicken my lashes.

But what works for me, might not work for you. However, so far Maybelline Volume express received quite abit of raves.

For curling only without curler, I lurve Laneige high perming mascara. That mascara really helps to curl my lashes !~ lol. But its on the higher end comparatively to drugstore brands.

Btw do you mean that you managed to curl your lashes, but it doesn't last long or it just doesn't curl at all?

hey, you can actually go to both Shu Uemera and RMK counter to try it..I have both curler, if you have tight budget, I suggest you try RMK, it is almost as good as Shu curler.

As for the mascara, there are several mascara in the market that can actuallly help to hold your curl..try maybelline or mojolica..If you have more budget, should go for RMK mascara, it really holds the curl with suitable amount of volume effect. Btw, watch out for the lifespan of mascara, normally it only last for 3 to 6 months..or less than that..otherwise the mascara will be clumpy..

I curl my eyelashes first...then mascara, zig zag...and lastly i curl it with a curler again!!

I am always in hunt for a good mascara... smile.gif No amount of mascara is ever going to be enough!!haha

Hi angel,

The truth is, the moment the sales person told me the vibra-mascara didn't come in black, I totally lost interest (too disappointed) to even ask about the price. But expect it to be more than RM80.

Have you tried the Maybelline mascaras? Or any other mascaras? You'd be the best judge. Be patient ya. I'm very sure there is one that suits you.
