Hi,can anyone recommend me any alternatives to my iphone pc suite? it keep crashed and i had no idea why it happens, though i think its something to do with the .net framework, but reinstalled many times and downloaded new versions, but no avail. i tried iphone browser, but it doesn't let me set permission i tried iphone tunnel suite, but i never installed open ssh on my phone since i never use winscp cause i always use iphone pc suite for it, so its not working. i don't have wifi connection with me now, so winscp is out of the question. i googled and results came out asking me to install squid from cydia, but no wifi, lol can't install so, any alternatives? i need a browser that can upload files to my iphone and set permission. iphone pc suite was the best, but.. meh p/s sorry for the weird fonts, i installed google pinyin yesterday and it came out this

@tinkerbel I'm not spamming, it's just that I forgot what TS wants after reading his post. @TS Stop using iPhone PC Suites. That thing going to mess the phone more than help. Ditch that and start using ifunbox. Still it can't be use to change the files permission. The best combo is iPhone tunnel suite + WinSCP for people with no WiFi nearby. Once you have internet connection, download OpenSSH. Don't worry about people snooping in your phone (change the default password) or worry about it draining your phone battery (as SSH only activates once you connect to the phone). p/s - I miss using WinSCP since moving to Mac. WinSCP is more powderful than fugu or cyber duck combined.

Err ... the long way would be transferring the file with ifunbox and change the permission by MobileTerminal (a bit of a hassle) or use MobileFinder in the phone to change the permission. Added on February 2, 2009, 4:45 pm@tinkerbel iPhone owner that did not JB their phone are rare species in this forum. Hahahahahahaha. The power of the dark side always prevails. So meaning there's no way to change permission not without getting a wifi connection first and install open ssh? Btw, is there a way to share my internet connection with my laptop using adhoc? i know vista can setup easily Lol if is that so, i had to go back to kl just to set permission for my gba roms

Vista and XP can use adhoc to share the internet connection or to use SSH.
