try the IS..it's a pretty good solution to scratches...no worries putting the phone in ur jeans or pants or anywhere on the table.. =D

erm..it covers about 90% of the entire phone..
as for the dust problems, you should be sticking the IS right so that it does not come into contact with dust whatsoever
i've been using it for 1 month now..no problems of any kind...
i even tried out the demo of scratching it with keys. no prob =D
