QUOTE(ivanlmh @ Mar 21 2009, 05:56 AM) Battery life are acceptable for some. Most AP users are complaining..no idea why..but so far if you get ori set..battery can last you for 2-3 days thinking of getting anytime soon because first i wanted N82 but the battery is bad but for N85 more or less better and also the function are better |

Just install Garmin 5.00.30, not much difference than previous version for N85 as this version focuses more on 5800XM..so if got free time only upgrade ba =p
Updates: Changes made from version 5.00.20 to 5.00.30: Provide support for Nokia 5800 (S60 touch screen). Provide a background service that monitors incoming messages which may contain information used by Garmin Mobile XT. A new setting will allow the user to turn this option off (Tools -> Settings -> System -> Launch Background Service). Improve map drawing performance. |

Impossible it can last up to 2 to 3 days. Can your last that long? And just before I forget the light settings also plays a big part on the battery life thou. All black colour would be super cool >>leoboa: here are some of me pics: » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Still not good at taking pics, but when took good pic, can see the pic quite sharp ^^ Is that you? Hmm.. Btw, look at the last picture you post. The focus was not that good. Also known as Bad Focus. Try take several picture of the same position and compare it yourself. Pm me if you need any help. Agree. N85 camera is only good when the surrounding light is bright enough. Then you will get the best picture quality. But for video it's the best compare many other phone. I can assure any of you that.

Night mode is not that effective thou. That's why the Video sucks. But compare video and still image in very low light the video turns out to be slightly better.. =x

nokia's night mode is only good if you have steady hands and if you got light sources like lamps etc and your hands are shaking it will produce a streaking light effect.

"user-defined setting" than the preset setting.. as i said b4 this.. the correct setting will make your n85 picture and video better than N82 |

but the built-in led light has no effective use for video recording of far away objects more than 1 metre away... close up video okay lar.

QUOTE(leoboa6 @ Mar 18 2009, 12:32 PM) You never miss out anything. The size of a picture may vary. Not necessary using a 5megapixel camera you will get 5mb for a picture. well i can get 2MB image size from this N85..This all depending on the image captured. Hmm.. How to say that. Okay I will update the picture later when I'm free. I have both almost the same picture but with additional light it reduces the size somehow. Different angle also will cause the size of the picture. Highest can go for a phone camera (N85 I refer to) is 1mb picture. What I mention earlier was the size from digital camera. The size or you can say the dimension of the picture is way much bigger that's why it consumes more megabytes. hmm..thx leoboa6 for TIP4 and Tips5 |

form what i've tested a brigher environment would make the picture size smaller (but of course it's still in a 5mp format) the dimensions WONT be any different from a pic taken in dark/lowlight environment
a darker environment would make the size bigger maybe because the need to capture the details in the dark. it wont go to 5mb per image. everyone has to keep in mind that a phone's camera will have certain degree of image compression to reduce the size and thus reduce the time of processing each image. The dimension as in the actual size(??mmX??mm) will be the same but the quality will be different.a darker environment would make the size bigger maybe because the need to capture the details in the dark. it wont go to 5mb per image. everyone has to keep in mind that a phone's camera will have certain degree of image compression to reduce the size and thus reduce the time of processing each image. Try play with zoom when you view the image on your computer. The (??mmX??mm) will also be affected by a little bit.. Happens to few of my image I captured from my N85 la.. |
