ok imagine this a regular dog be it whatever breed, usually the tail is long. a standard MKA poodle usually they prefer long tail but usually breeder will docked the tail short so it look CUTE whoever who saw my Cooper or Amos or Milo they have docked tail. Shorter. A docked tail but longer version is like my RUBIE!
u are right but some the effect its either short or long
POODLES have curly fur. But some are wavy, some curl like maggi. Few times botak make them grow more and darker fur, more compact n more rough. The reason why a lot of us here shave them till botak when they are still puppy so that as they grew bigger, the fur mai nicer and more compact

But my rubie, previously admitted to hospital and one part of her leg was shaved till botak, grew back no doubt fur darker and more rough but got white fur.

I think previously Sinv did answer the same question on why shave and what is the pro and cons. She did mentioned about regular grooming helps as well.

Yesterday i went Petsmore ss15, saw one miniature poodle selling RM 1380 without MKA (super expensive) smaller then the 1st pic and of cos bigger abit from the 2nd pic. He got very short muzzle, rounded face and light apricot in colur. His paw yet to turn to black as he just turn 2 months. Very cute face

penang so nice can get poodle with cheaper price.
actually u cant tell whether ur dog is toy or mini now. have to see their full grow size later. some of the dog 3-4months big but doesnt grow so much and can end up at tiny toy or toy later. so just wait n see lah.

erm gt choise oso de, win win never botak only do trimming often. Now her fur becoming more curly.

Last time i always complain seeing her straight fur cz ppl always say she looks like Maltese....
I have difficulties explaining she is not till i become so bored and i jz smile cz dun wana explain ady.i think those ppl eyes gt problem.
Now that it is curly i find it difficult cause her fur always tangle together....haha u see straight pun susah curly pun susah

Today there were more than 24 posts on XIaorei gettin a new poodle...
In my mind, there is only 1 thought = dark brown poodle (1 pair) BUT my money kena frozen by hubby liao...

Yup, better don't buy from Pet Shop. Actually many of the pet shop also buy the puppy from breeder and sell to consumer with ~100% higher price.

Last 2 month i brought a pure white poodle from pet shop but died after 5 days becoz of the Pravovirus infection and finally the pet shop agree to replace 1 for me but until now i also never get it becoz still cannot find a beautiful one. Now i already know the breeder very well and I direct choose from breeder and I swear I will never buy a puppy from pet shop again.

By the waiting period, I buy another puppy liao Meeko....Now very enjoy play with him and waiting another replace one come.....

where u send bobo to botak?why the groomer nv tel u?did u go back n ask them?
i only send my dog to trustable groomer. need to do sum survey at ur area to avoid such thing happen.
but looks like 1st time groomer always kena cut eh. Blossom also kena cut.
