if you're not performing with the guitar you probably won't need the pickup. Those which comes with pickups usually are more expensive.

Get one with a solid top, check out in Woh fatt or Guitar Store there got many that are not so expensive. Or you can try the Yamaha FG700 which retails for RM899 here last I check. I have one and it's a very nice guitar.

The Ibanez V series acoustics are quite good for around 400 bucks... I played one that sounds very warm and rich..

The FG720 at RM700 is a pretty good deal as long as the guitar is in good shape.

Takamine/Ibanez can be found in bentley I suppose. Good luck!

woh fatt will sure push their fina guitars which have solid tops starting at around RM500.
or can go the guitar store and check out the farida range.
but i think their prices have increased alot in the last yr or so, guessing they now start at at least RM1k+++ tongue.gif

whattt..??
1k+++ T.T

Gawd.. just when im started to get anxious bout guitar, price hiking up?
its just an acoustic, not electric but yep i know acoustic can get very expensive, just that im looking one below 800 {ToT}

nuuuuuuuuuuu~!! >__________<///

Added on February 3, 2009, 8:19 pmtoday i checked all the guitar store located within MidValley Megamall, checked a martinez guitar solid sprunce top side and back were rosewood for 800, with pickup.

got quite much of tone variety with pretty good deep sound(?) ;3

i also checked the Yamaha FG-700, pretty good but i still think the Martinez were better in term of built, looks and sound. ( the lady wont give me any discount for it at all T.T ) still... i haven't got MUCH INFO about this Martinez guitar, CAN ANYONE provide me with some info bout them? >__<//

checked the renowned F-310, not too shabby for its price, made in indonesia while the FG were from china.

im still currently looking for more option. this guitar would be with me for a whileeeee since i cant afford to bought another entry-lvl guitar within this year xD so its must be a pretty good so wont regret it later ;3

gonna check Bentley tomorrow and the shop inside sungei wang 1. Anyone got other suggestion for me? any other shop and guitar recommendation? please please ;3

I must say getting a new acoustic can be a funny experience.. Sometimes the new stock might not sound as nice as the old one does, but you wouldn't want to buy an old old stock just because it's "seasoned" (but not old enough to considered "vintage")! At one time the guys from Woh Fatt tried to sell my friend an old stock guitar rather than the new ones just because, in his words, it's seasoned!! biggrin.gif
