yes, a little tweak needed for this....but it's quite a lengthy tweak...

all right, i'd just freshly prepared the tweak .cab file for this, download it HERE !

Instruction:
1. copy this .cab file into your device
2. install it into your device NOT storage card
3. soft reset
4. woola, the grey out area was history d ....

note : after installing this, it will blank all the notification....pls reconfigure the notification manually again...

i'm using both Mapking 2007 and Garmin Mobile XT v5.00.20wp version...

both are working fine here.....

apparently after applying the GPS tweak, my Mapking can log on much faster [ approx < 10 sec ] while Garmin is still the same [ approx 20-30 sec ]

should be an oversea set.....please READ their warranty terms carefully , and to remind you that this kind of oversea set is NOT warrant by SIS Malaysia.

i would strongly suggest to get a local SIS Malaysia set if you're going to use it here.... it come with standard 1 year warranty [ parts and labour included ] and apply for the 1 year extended [ cost around RM70++ only ]...

if the so called 'oversea set' is less than RM800 for a brand new TP...by all means go get it without hesitate...LOL

check with SIS Shah Alam....previously i got it for only RM75

not satisfied with the current performance of your TP lately....having GPS issue, coreplayer can't play movie smoothly... etc etc? no worry, follow thru this guide and you'll eventually love your TP more !

STEP 1:
IMPORTANT ! pls perform a backup of your data...contact, sms, pic etc etc by using PIM Backup 2.8, get it from HERE !

STEP 2:
perform a hard reset by using this method [recommended]: press the volume down key + the center button and press the reset button with the stylus tip and follow the screen instruction...

STEP 3:
after having WM boot up with all the default setting......the first application to be install is none other than the netCF3.5 ! install THIS version [recommended]

STEP 4:
now come to the performance enhancement part... , i have create this ultimate essential tweak in one single cab file ! [ which means Advanced Config Tools and netCF Config tool are not needed anymore...LOL ]

the reason is being simple : no hassle to remember what, where and which tweak to apply anymore !

download it HERE ! and REMEMBER to perform a soft reset after installing it !

STEP 5:
install all your favourite application/software back and restore all your backup data now.....

That's it ! you have now officially owned a performance tuned TP with your stock rom ! if you're still not satisfied....install a custom cooked rom or even cook your own rom !.....LOL

i tried the driver before, verdict : i don't see any significant improvement on the overall system performance....even in VR Hologram i'm getting the same fps [ before and after install this driver ], but it might help in 3D gaming perhaps?...i'm not sure as i don't game much

NOTE : for those who follow exactly the guide and step above, you can now play movie with coreplayer very very smoothly even if you don't do any conversion, just download the movie, transfer to storage card and play it ! [ even a 1gb HD movie play damn smoothly ! ] no setting required in core player ! try it to believe !

for those who want the Ultimate Essential Tweak cab with D3D driver, i'll try to released it tonight....

btw, after applying purely on those tweak which i compiled...my TP is as good as cooked rom in terms of speed and performance [ and best things it's 99.9% bug free ! ] i dare to challenge any TP with any cooked rom !

let's me update some details here;

1. GPS can log in within 5 sec now....[ both mapking & garmin ]
2. Coreplayer can play unconverted movie [ even a 1gb ++ raw directly from download ] very very smooth !
3. Can be able to play unconverted rmvb movie very smoothly too !
4. try this, use file explorer and open up windows folder....before tweak it takes around 15sec ++ to open up, after tweak applied it just takes merely <10 sec !
5. gaming...err haven't try yet and don't intend to do so...LOL

the main reason i'm still sticking with stock rom is because i want a bug free, fast and most important...stable system !

i have not encounter this issue so far with stock rom and so does my friend's Diamond [ also using stock rom ]...

my previous core player tweak is just a beta [ testing ] , which is why i have not officially release it in the forum, just via pm only. don't worry, this new tweak already officially solve it....

i have tons of tweak !!!!!! don't expect me to include all those....LOL. this new tweak is the most essential and useful so far ! others are just merely cosmetic and specific issue solving tweak...

hope u understand....and btw, this tweak will be very useful for a pda phone dealer like you...LOL

my activesync is behaving very well so far ! no popping up issue and it doesn't appear to be running in the task manager....and btw i don't perform soft reset on daily reset...LOL, only when needed e.g when installing new application which require only...

there'll be no final release....as i mentioned earlier, those are the main essential tweak ! there's are hundred more tweak but it's not necessary as those are just cosmetic and specific issue tweak....

not necessary to perform hard reset but it's highly recommended ! [ to wipe clean all the previous bad registry etc etc...]

probably there's simply isn't any connection active / setup done....LOL

1. try uninstall the nodata
2. run the start > settings > connections > Connection Setup again
3. reinstall the nodata

Added on March 17, 2009, 9:00 amuse pimbackup and try to get all your application in .cab file and store it in the storage card....[ that's what i always do ]

i can perform hard reset and reinstall everything back in less than 10min....

i would suggest these steps:

1. update the new rom
2. perform a hard reset
3. install netCF 3.5
4. finally install the tweak version of your choice...

some update on this new rom...

there's some improvement in terms of the TF3D and GPS...compare to the old stock rom [ plain stock rom without tweak yet ]

but after the applying the tweak [ V2 with D3D driver ] ....read inside...



but overall is worth the update! remember to apply the tweak ya !

here's another way to improve/speed up the launching of program in your TP !

it's called the Ultimate Packer for eXecutables module [ old school trick but amazing result ! ]

it can help to launch most of the programs in split seconds !

note : it's a very very simple module to execute but READ it thoroughly before trying....do it at your own risk !

happy upgrading and tweaking....LOL



additional note : if you have applied the cab tweak which i provided earlier, it's already improve the launching [ + performance tuned d ] but no harm to tweak further !

what's up lately guys? any new stuff for our Touch Pro....i'd been send for free 'holiday' for a week d

here's another reason for me NOT to jump/switch to the custom cooked rom....

been exploring few stuff like the new Rhodium TF3D 2, Rhodium new notifications etc etc....and it work like flawlessly [ except ONE tiny bug...lol ], it mentioned repeatedly in XDA that all those required a rom with build 21000 and higher to get it work out [ but our new official rom is only with build 20764... ] BUT don't be fooled with those statement...it work PERFECTLY on official rom !

note : highly recommended to install my tweak [ V2 / V3 ] before try to attempt to install those stuff...
