my ps3 just died on me after 6 mths...

was watching the dark knight ori blu ray, and after finishing it, had some trouble ejecting the disc....reset the ps3, manage to eject it...but after that, no other dics could be read anymore, just keep loading and loading, but cannot detect.....arrgghhh....

sent it to sony for warranty, and they say will take about a week to get it fixed....hope they change a brand new lens for me...mine is the cechk06 black version, 80GB.....

you guys have any idea what caused this? should not be the dark knight blu ray rite??? just plain 'lucky'??

can a disc cause the lens prb? or just time for the lens to die?

of coz i'll be playing the games i play. But this is not the point, what i'm seeing is that future games roadmap may be based on the pseye and the motion controller. Besides the eyepet game from E3  looks very fun.

im about to purchase a brand new MY set from my friend. He said its his gf's set which she got as a gift.

my question is warranty issue without the receipt. is there a warranty card from sony malaysia inside the box? the box is sealed with sirim sticker n stated CECHK06.

So is it better to get MY set than SG set? Cause I asked at Sony Center and they said SG set is like AP version.

Is it ok to use third party usb fan on ps3?? Does it make any difference using it?? 

And does graphic follow region of the game or on the game itself??
Like buying r1 game got 1080p resolution but buying r2 or r3 got 720p resolution only.

Owh. i heard the most common ps3 problem, is the lens. Is it true? Now the ps3 is much more better and stable right?

Owh. Really? Coz i heard cost to reapair lens about Rm400, if the warranty at the shop didnt cover the lens problem. Hmm..  Better buy at sony center. Haha..    Thx u guys.
