Yea, anyone can get soldier ranks. The hard part is maintaining it i.e. joining ALL modes other thank TDM and SNK.

There are a lot of FH who dedicate themselves to TDM and SNK since their stats arent affected that much in it, and they can preserve the soldier ranks.

Anyway, I had my cousin look at the scan. (He's in Jpn nao studying Engineering)

He said (he had trouble translating it since it had the kanji cramped together):

- Raiden has the sword.
- Raiden can deflect bullets. (Needs to equip the sword and switch something in the weapon selection menu, similar to toggling the burst, single or auto settings.)
- Deflected bullets will ricochet off objects, like Ocelots revolver bullets.

Then he got bored of translating it and told me to find out myself

This I found from GFAQ's guy who translated it:

- Vamp is in it too. (Obviously lol)
- Vamp can replenish stamina by getting someone in a CQC hold.
- Vamp has his throwing knifes.
- Vamp has exploding knives.
- Every player has access to the katana in sword matches. WTF!!!

Another thing:

Both Vamp and Raiden cant jump around like in the storyline.

They can climb walls however. I guess this is done by pressing Triangle against the wall.
