Yup, the game had to cater to a wide audience, not just the hardcore sim racing fans. So i'm sure there's a difficulty setting to cater for a different type of players. icon_rolleyes.gif

actually even in F1 you need to disengaged the gears, as seamless shift gearbox are banned. BUT they are so fast that the clutch disengagement takes less than 0.05s

So the consensus is that it is demanding? We need benchies...
*
Yeah, compared to GRID, Shift demands a far higher requirement. sad.gif

edit: I think my proc is the bottleneck here. Same case with Undercover last time. Performs extremely bad on Athlon64 procs. unsure.gif

No. Steering is better and you can FEEL the car squirming under you. It's still easier than a sim but far better than any arcade racing games that I've played. It is not perfect. I prefer LFS or rFactor to this game, but it's good enough for some fun filled races.

abis tu ko 59 dh bleh dapat pro. aku 54:XX dapat experienced  je. ea2...nak googe jap

btw,now playing under pro mode. all assist off. manual + clutch.

tapi..clutch macam berfungsi sgt bila masuk gear. manual + clutch pn kalau masuk gear tak pakai clutch pn boleh gak. aku lg suka kalau ea disable feature nih. bile masuk gear, xrase feel...tatau gear tu masuk lepas clurch in ke atau clutch pn tak sampai lg tp gear dah masuk doh.gif rclxub.gif
*
Bukan linkin kata dia dpt experienced gak tp tukar ke pro. laugh.gif

linkin : The steering feel is not even close to Forza Motorsport 2 or even GT5P, that's why a friend of mine who bought Shift sold it right away. Oh, and he drifts real cars. nod.gif

I know. I never said it feels real. But I did say I used Richard Burns as a benchmark, and it feels better than most game. Compared to GRID last time I can get the settings right, so I can't feel the car. With this it's better, but still no sim
*
That's why i LOL-ed at your earlier statement, in the game u don't really feel the shifting of weight, elevation changes or understeer and oversteer much. Better than most games? Not really lah... overstatement dah tu. sweat.gif

indeed, but maybe because of our different gaming backgrounds. For me I liked SHIFT's steering do to it being linear, compared to GRID's kinda slingshot effect's style. Not that I am dissing GRID. I liked GRID. Even if you read my review, I prefer if they had followed GRID in certain ways, such as the track, which is not 100% realistic (try Spa and you will like GRID's one better) and also the graphics, where you can run GRID on a PC with lower hardware config and yet get the same looks. But there are certain parts that I liked SHIFT better. FFB feels nice, and also as I said, steering is linear to how you turn, which in arcade game, is kinda hard to find. And yes, I do appreciate a well tuned car can't go faster than a real life one. Nobody can make the R35 go faster than 300KM/h, unless the track is long enough and you are running low drag.
*
Why must always assume others don't play sim racers? doh.gif I don't exactly like GRID's steering feel either coz it's very awkward. Shift's steering is allright but the FFB is not, even the old GT3 on PS2 had far better FFB implementation. unsure.gif

you gamers suck. go out and drive real cars la whistling.gif XD XD XD XD XD
*
Eh, we do drive real cars for years already but not race cars la. laugh.gif Then again a friend of mine who drifts real cars really don't like the game coz it's not even close to realistic as what the devs claim to be. sweat.gif
