new demon soul player here
wish me luck...

played about an hour and died when met the first boss - Vanguard? then its my first visit to Nexus. after that i dun seem to be continuing back to where i died. in soul form now...not sure how to get back my body...keep on dying...
guess im poor in such technical game.

but i like the backstabbing and counteratk feature.

Added on March 16, 2009, 10:00 pmi found some soul...it says demon likes eating soul and if i shoot it to the corpse, demons will...
what will the demon do? and i cant shoot it to the corpse...yet..coz i dun have a bow....sigh...

i notice when during my first time to go online - SOE warns that the server service would end at Sept 2009. wat's gonna after that? we all can only play offline mode?

woot...i finally killed my first Demon Boss - The Phalanx! hahahaah...indeed so happy.
first try - died...and somehow i keep on thinking using the hit the leg method then hit the head...but then i dun see that black gigantic slime mud has any leg! so i died...
second try - got back my souls...wif only 1 of those large green weed. then i realize mayb i try use the turpentine to fire it up...and yeah it works nicely on its siblings. two hits - BAM. but i still got hit by the arrows till i left like 45% of my HP...then i said to myself - im gonna die im gonna die...so i just what the heck...once i managed to get to his back where there's no spears around, i just whack whack whack whack like no tomorrow...till my stamine depleted and i can only whack once a while. but the Phalanx HP was depleting fast....my heart was bumping and luckily there's no siblings behind me as usual poking me....and finally BAM! i defeated the Phalanx wif my Wanderer. hahaahhhaha

i guess i got lucky as well...coz before this, there will alwiz those small phalanx behind me poking me.

guys what's ur tips for defeating the phalanx? and i realized it will regen back its HP. how it does it? i'm guessing it eats those smaller phalanx.

also what is the use of those souls? unknown souls...hero souls...and even the demon souls from the phalanx. what can i do wif it?

thanx for the replied. i used up all my firebomb oredi on those guards using long pike. but still i killed Phalanx using fire

even those unknown souls can be use to exchange magic? use magic useful? what magic are there?

ahhh...got stuck at the bridge where its guarded by those 3 archers and 2 3-blue-eye knights or something...

the archers i can kaotim them but the knight..one thrust on me and i'll die immediately even wif shield on. f@rker....

oh yeah....how do i heck into other ppls world? or join other ppl worlds to asssist them?

is it now if i died in physical form, the world will immediately change to pure black? no need to suicide multiple times?
same as when i kill the final boss (demon) it'll become pure white.

hmm...then all the level will always be super hard...after i died once in physical form.

i walk infront of them and lure them to attack..then i step back...after they finish their attack, i power attack them...

they only have 3 styles - one power thrust, 3 combo attacks or shield bash. shieldbas is easily recognisable coz they will alwiz try to walk infront of u unshielded. then when they near u, they'll shieldbash u....
