Berbatov actually managed another byline escape against West Ham just that this time didn't result in a goal. Wasted but showed good skill again.

QUOTE(aztechx @ Feb 14 2009, 01:03 PM) torres warned not to rush gerard back since hamstring injury quite troublesome as torres suffered that earlier in the season QUOTE(unknown @ Feb 14 2009, 01:29 PM) No Maicon and Vidic each for Inter and Man Utd, both without influential CB but still, i rate Vidic very much higher! |

I'm thinking of resting players for now, 2-0 is quite safe for now. Time to save Ronaldo, Giggs and Park? for more important fixtures. But i got a feeling Ronaldo might play whole match or at least until he score to boost his confidence. Who's on the bench? Is there Welbeck, Fabio, Possebon?

Job done and we are in the quarters. Now hoping the draw later will favour us. Not asking much, a home draw would be enough, if it's against some lowly team will be a bonus, but most important is a home tie.
ADDED : Crap, is there any live streaming of the draw? Sopcast Starsport turn to some racing show This post has been edited by shortleg88: Feb 16 2009, 02:33 AM |

Savour this guys, not much chance you'll read this
Rare praise as Wenger labels M.Utd "untouchable" QUOTE Arsene Wenger has conceded that Sir Alex Ferguson's current Manchester United side appear to be ''untouchable''. United sit two points clear of Liverpool with a game in hand at the Premier League summit, with Arsenal 12 points off the pace in fifth. Wenger, whose Gunners side went unbeaten in 2003/04, is refusing to give up on having a say in the title race but admits the Red Devils are currently some distance clear of the pack. The two-goal return of Croatia striker Eduardo after a year out in Monday night's 4-0 FA Cup fourth-round replay win over Cardiff City gave Arsenal fans reason for cheer, but Wenger has warned that long-time rivals United will take some stopping. ''We are on a very strong run at the moment and we have promised to give everything until the last day of the season but at the moment Manchester United look untouchable,'' confessed the Arsenal boss. ''They are 12 points ahead of us and they have a game against Fulham which they will certainly win. If they win that they are 15 points in front and that means they need to lose five games. ''Let us say they lose one against us, that still leaves four. They still need to lose four other games, which they haven't done yet this season. ''But our basic target is to get into the Champions League and therefore the championship remains a priority.'' Wenger, meanwhile, told Cardiff that the trouncing meted out to them at the Emirates could be a good thing for their promotion ambitions. The Frenchman believes that talented Championship sides can often get sidetracked in the knockout competitions to the detriment of their league form. ''Look at the table. They are, I think, fourth with a few games in hand. For them it is better they go out of the FA Cup,'' he said. ''I saw it a few years ago when we battled with Sheffield United when they had (Phil) Jagielka and (Michael) Tonge in a very good team. ''There were seasons when they did very well in the FA Cup and the League Cup and in the end they always failed to come up because it was very demanding to do both. ''In the Championship there are 24 teams so there are a lot of games. This is better for them.'' |

QUOTE(boxsystem @ Feb 18 2009, 02:12 PM) In my opinion, we should. Nani and Ronaldo does well with Scholesy and Carrick's long ball. I wouldn't miss tonight's match. It's about time for us to put a better gap on Pool. QUOTE(Apis_LuaLua @ Feb 18 2009, 02:33 PM) i prefer giggs + carrick at the middle.. and yes.. i am agree to have nani in the 1st eleven again.. he is now so motivated and try his best to open SAF eyes. With Ronaldo and Nani on the flanks is slightly too adventurous for me though we playing at home. Fulham likes to sit deep playing away and looks for counter attack oppurtunities, they did get some good results like the draw at Anfield (was it?). With them not tracking back, it'll leave a slight gap at the flanks to cross it in. |

Think Paul Scholes deserve all that credit, one of my favourite player when I just started supporting Man Utd and still is.
QUOTE Alan Shearer : "If you ask footballers to pick out the player they most admire, so many of them will pick Paul Scholes. He can tackle, and his passing and shooting is of the highest level. He’s the most consistent and naturally gifted player we’ve had for a long, long time." Alan Sharer might not have seen much of Scholes tackle though |

Yup, especially the UCL, it's just the round of 16. I'm anxious yet I'm worried too. I'm taking 1 game at a time as I still think it's too early yet.

Just saw an interesting clip to share, for those who read Captain Tsubasa, it always feature it but I didn't know that our players did it before. I wonder who will be credited if it went in.
