What should I tell the Celcom Branch that MNP from TuneTalk is possible? I know that it can be done as a few people have managed to do that. I went to Celcom Branch here in Bintulu just now, they say it cannot be done.

did u ask them why MNP from TT cannot convert Celcom? any reasons? like gasta said, maybe u should port 2 the other telco 1st, then u can port back 2 celcom~~

I did ask, they said that no option for TuneTalk yet in their system. Even their online MNP form also no TuneTalk. I tried using Maybank2U, also no option for TT. I've emailed them to ask, I've also emailed MCMC, see what are their reasons.

An update. They have not replied my emails, neither do MCMC. So I decided to just switch to Digi first. Then only to Celcom. The switch is free, so I don't really mind. The switch to Digi is really simple. I went to a dealer, gave my name, IC, address and phone number. Then they gave me a SIM.
No contract right? Can I switch soon after the Digi line is activated?

Another update. Apparently the MCMC report that I did really works! I was contacted by a Celcom rep this morning, requesting more details from me, including the names of the officers that handled me that day. But I did not remember any. After contacting the Bintulu Branch, the rep called me again just now and said that all things have been clarified with the branch manager, and I can just go to the branch to perform my porting. I will go tomorrow and will update my experience here.

So a tip here, if you have problems and their CS dept is no good in solving it, report directly to MCMC.

I submitted my request at 11am. By 4pm my Celcom line is already activated. At the branch, the officer even apologized to me on behalf of Celcom for the misunderstanding. Wah, an MCMC report can really scare the $hit out of them!

which plan is the best for cheap calling?
uox is out coz mah Birthday is just 'round da corner.

earlier x2 is the cheapest, 28 cents for 10 minutes on net and for 5 minutes off net  nod.gif
now they revised it, 28 cents for 3 minutes flate rate on or off net. still quite cheap tho. u'll be converted to the x3 on the day after your birthday.

but u can always use the pick-a-pack bundle in *118#. i always chose sms & talk pack for 300 minutess and 300 sms for same network, valid for 12 hours when i want to gayut lama2. 300 minutess equals to 5 hours for just rm1  brows.gif

Yup, I agree. Which is why I am holding on to my Xpax X2 plan. Earlier I wanted to convert to postpaid coz I need data but since I can get the RM30 data plan, I am sticking to my X2.

3mb. not bad. the quota??  smile.gif

Quota dunno. Some say 1GB. But some say even after 1GB they still have full speed. Just try lah. RM30 only.

For the M30 plan,I monitored my usage through the built in Android usage track and found out that I got throttled after about 600MB. Some say that the quota is at 300MB. After the throttle usage is pretty much impossible. even to send a tweet takes forever

Xpax now has an official monthly data plan. RM38 for 30 days with 1GB, with promo now free 1GB on top of that. Available through *118#. But the weird thing is, from the Xpax website, this plan is listed to be for a limited time only. But I expect this to be permanent. Nonetheless, just grab it fast!
