I had just purchased a Xpax sim card, activated weekly broadband on my Iphone through *118# and put celcom3g in APN setting . How come my phone only display Edge connection? The internet connection is terrible, i can't even connect to google page  vmad.gif  I had no problem surfing net by using Digi edge connection, though.

How to check whether my sim card is 3G or 2G sim card? Thanks~

for me..
the easier way to check whether my sim is 3G or 2G is look at the signal bar..
it will show 3G icon there..

based on ur location (ipoh rite), should have 3G there..

Then I think my sim card confirmed is 2G already, because it's Xpax and only show edge connection no matter where I went sad.gif

Is it possible to upgrade my 2G sim card to 3G Xpax one? Is it Foc? It's really hard to obtain informations from celcom website.

FYI, I'm using the edge connection to surf lowyat now tongue.gif

to upgrade ur sim to 3G..

go to *118# -> Service -> FOC Upgrade to 3G..

Thank you very much. This is the best solution for my case..   rclxms.gif  icon_idea.gif  notworthy.gif

I get a sms from celcom stated:
Terima Kasih. Proses naik taraf ke 3G sedang diproses. Anda akan nikmati servis 3G dalam tempoh masa 24jam...

No need to change the sim card right? Waiting for the 3G activation now  whistling.gif

I wonder why celcom don't set 3G as default to avoid these kind of hassles  hmm.gif

nope..
just use your old sim..

If I topup RM200 like the Promo in BHP, how long will the validity be?
*
Should be 200 days.

Based on their website (Xpax), RM30 and above, credit expiry period will be according to amount reloaded. (ex. RM1 = 1 day)

Best effort delivery describes a network service in which the network does not provide any guarantees that data is delivered or that a user is given a guaranteed quality of service level or a certain priority. In a best effort network all users obtain best effort service, meaning that they obtain unspecified variable bit rate and delivery time, depending on the current traffic load. - wikipedia
