How's the speed with First Basic 38? Came across some comments saying it is slower when compared to another Celcom line with a higher plan like First Basic 85 on another phone side by side. hmm.gif

Went to submit my MNP from Maxis to Celcom at Blue Cube Pavilion just now, was told it might take up to 5 working days. ohmy.gif

I guess a lot of people are porting to Celcom and also existing Celcom customers changing over to this plan.

yup noticed a lot people at laman sri, klcc and sunway lining up to switch for 38 when i was there.

done MNP from maxis to celcom basic 85 took me a day. and 2 days after that changed to elite haha.

although the plan is good but kinda letdown by the slow data speed...only 50% compared to maxis speed previously. mostly 3G/H only and speedtest average <7mbps ..compared maxis >14mbps

anyone know which celcom branch have stock for iphone6 64gb? went to above 3 brances and all no stock
*
Does Maxis need to call you regarding the MNP as well or just replying Y when received an SMS to confirm whether leaving Maxis will do?

I've been using it since Sunday. The speed is horrible. Just made a complain so will see if that changes.  I thought Digi is bad but it is actually way better than the current speed I'm having.  In KL city area and Subang also weak.
*
I've also lodged a complaint at places I frequently use, hopefully things will improve after 7 working days.

Anyone using the First Basic 85 plan?

Quick question, if you use up all the calls but not SMS, there won't be any optimiser to give additional calls and SMS right?

Reason is I'm actually eyeing on the data, so I need to finish up the 2GB first before getting extra, however my concern is I use up calls pretty fast too but definitely not SMS.

I don't want the optimiser to give me extra calls/SMS. laugh.gif

Perhaps everyone just needed to reconnect back to the network. Celcom's network usually requires this. sweat.gif

more people using celcom because cheap plan biggrin.gif so now celcom need to upgrade the network asap, or else problem will become much worse cry.gif
*
Can't agree more, no point in attracting more people to the network but damage own reputation due to congestion.

Also, Celcom seems very quiet in making any announcements of their future plan unlike Maxis and DiGi, they usually keep their customers up-to-date with their progress like how much they will be investing in network upgrades and how long it will take etc. At least that will give more confidence to the customers that something is being done.

Hi Guys, which celcom plan that is lowest in monthly commitment but the speed is throttle when it reach the limit? If just whatapp, waze etc should it be sufficient with the throttle speed?
*
At the moment it will be Celcom First Blue plan at RM45 monthly. Messaging apps will work fine when throttled, I have not tried Waze though.

so report to MCMC? or just wait for them to upgrade
*
Lodge a complaint via their online customer service portal first. If unresolved after some time, then maybe you can report to MCMC to speed things up.

Don't call, lodge it via OCS, usually they escalate it to Level 2 support.

Android has more control over roaming settings. I wished iOS can improve on this, better still if there is a separate permission for app's mobile data usage when roaming.

I am hoping for this too, for prepaid is confirmed - Celcom Bakal Memperkenalkan Aplikasi Xpax Rasmi Tidak Lama Lagi
*
Hopefully it's an app for both postpaid and prepaid customers to manage their account. If it's just for Xpax then kinda wasted.

TM and Celcom have closer relationship and would be better partners compared to TM and Maxis.
