QUOTE 10/04/2009 UPDATE - INTERNET SERVICES RESTORATION Dear Valued Customers,
Telekom Malaysia Berhad is pleased to inform its customers that the restoration works on the Asia Pacific Cable Network 2 (APCN2) near Chongming, China connecting Malaysia to the United States has been completed.
Meanwhile, there is a delay in the restoration date for the Southeast Asia-Middle East-Western Europe 3 (SMW3) cable network between Tuas, Singapore and Penang linking Malaysia due to technical problems at the repairing stages. Due to the delay, full recovery of SMW3 cable network is now expected to be on 17 April 2009.
However, to date, TM has already recovered 97% bandwidth capacity for its Internet traffic to Hong Kong and North America.
TM Internet and IP services as well as other critical business applications linked to the US and Hong Kong has resumed normal operations since 10 April 2009.
We would like to thank our customers for their patience during the affected period. Customers can call TM at 100 and select “Internet Services” or e-mail us at help@tm.com.my for any Internet related problems.
Thank You. 5th -> 7th -> 9th -> 17th ............ after 17th ? Fixed ? Then down again 1th May another 2 weeks ? Sigh no hope liao this company we Malaysian think need to do something their services r getting worst and worst and they seems doesnt care abt wtf u think .

Awesome. 115.133.xx raid Naxx today with zero dc, yellow latency all the while. Its an easy to get IP too other than the 118.100.xxx (d'oh!).
Hopefully it stays good for over a month! So we can have Ulduar to look forward too, amirite?

Meh, for me it's still sketchy. Most of the time I have good latency (250-350ms). But occasionally streamyx still goes to hell, and it does it at the worst times too. Last night doing timed CoS, with 5 mins on the clock and almost at the corrupter, latency shoots to 2800ms, healer dies and we wipe (yay!) This morning after 1+ hour of super smooth dailies, go to do H Gun'drak, at 8.45am I get d/c'ed halfway at the snake boss, couldn't reconnect for half an hour with this dunno what error message from my router. Sigh if this keeps up I'm going to be well known as "that useless d/c'ing tank" soon Attached thumbnail(s)

Funny how every month some XYZABC cable somewhere gets cut and somehow TMNet seems is the only one in the region that is affected. Like if they got a program that randomly picks a cable to break every month just to provide an excuse for shitty routing

Yeah, streamyx issue. I pinged my own DNS also 3000ms or more. Then it settled down around 11pm.

Guys I picked up Gamepath and my connection issues got fixed. Seriously I think the only way to play WoW on Streamyx is to use a VPN. Try cutting cost by subscribing to the 512k package. Works well for me and you can use the money you saved for the VPN subscription fee.
