Personally I won't be jumping for joy if Nintendo announced a new Zelda. Basically it's going to be the same game again: Link going off to fight Ganon to save Zelda. Honestly can't they think of something new rather then just a retelling of the story which have been retold so many times? Come on, it's supposed to be the LEGEND of Zelda. How can it be a legend if it's just one adventure retold many times?
You know what would make me interested? If a LoZ game was set in a WWII era. |

QUOTE(dario_julius @ Jan 29 2009, 12:43 PM) That's the twist we need to keep things fresh. I hope it will turn out like the jump from FFVI (medieval) to FFVII (advanced).. I didn't like the jump, but I don't like Zelda's settings to begin with. A total revamp might stir up my interest a bit Plus it's interesting to see how Nintendo can weave it's characters into real-world history. |

I personally think the time tested Zelda story formular could be updated, but i still think Nintendo has done a good job in keeping the series interesting. Looking at Ocarina of Time, WindWaker, and Twilight Princess, i noted that Nintendo has been taking risk in art style, and to a lesser extent story line. Twilight Princess has a much darker theme, and it is not a very happy story, the wandering ghosts, Twilight Zone, and wolf, all made up a mature and sad picture. WindWaker, one of my favorite Zelda, has very refreshing art style, set on Ocean instead of Hyrule plain, rescuing sister and protecting Outset islands home village, all made up a warmer and cheerful story. Dwell into the story, although it seems like repeating itself.... it is engaging. Especially when u completed the first 1 hour that is mostly tutorial. This game is actually going to be quite interesting. It promises nothing is going to be more than 30 seconds. You'll be going on 30 second missions but it's still a JRPG type of game or something. I have no idea how they're going to pull it off.
